Mt. Mayon, the beautiful but dangerous volcano of Camalig, has escalated to a level 4 (the highest threat level is 5) and is posing major health risks to the people who breathe in the air.
With no foreseeable end to the eruption it is imperative to evacuate and provide food/ supplies.
Over 74,000 people have been evacuated so far and remain in public buildings to avoid the ash.
The proper breathing masks are not available in nearby locations and need to be brought in by car as the airport has been closed down due to the amount of smoke in the air.
The masks are about $ 10 USD a piece. I am asking to help at least 500 people with a minimum goal of $ 5000 by next week.
The supplies/ funds will be sent directly to the Mayor of Camalig, Albay, Ding Baldo.
