What songs did you like at first but got sick of them because the radio played them seemingly every 5 minutes and just couldn't stand to hear them? Past or Present songs.
Here's mine
Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana Low by Cracker What its Like by Everlast
and I used to love Nickelback but now every time I turn on the radio one of their songs is playing.
I would have to agree with you on all of the above!
Other overplayed songs:
"I Saw The Sign" by Ace of Base "December" by Collective Soul "Loser" by Beck
Wow there's so many more though.
Currently I'm also highly annoyed by the fact that every time I turn on the radio I hear a song with JA RULE in it. Sup with that?? I liked him at fist for about five minutes but now...enough is enough!
Lol at Phoenix, "i saw the sign", has got to be the worst song! What were they thinking when they made that? And as for the spice girls, eating disorder is all i can say about that...
I am tired of hearing, "you did me wrong but i really love you" type songs. Anything else is ok.
Libragirl, tell me about it (with the Spice Girls)--I almost developed an eating AVERSION from having to look at/hear them so much...lol.
And I have to agree about stairway to heaven, and it pains me so to say it cuz I'm a huge Led Zeppelin fanatic, but yeah it gets played too often...starts to lose it's magic after awhile.
I was thinking about this last night. Stairway to Heaven (as mentioned before) and Hotel California.
The thing is that they are great songs. When you listed to the words they are amazing. Whenever i hear them now i concentrate on the words and the message and try to ignore the tune 🙂
LOL These are all good ones especially "Loser",Phoenix! I don't listen to pop music very much but I do know what you mean, I've heard that they can be the worst! Another song I was thinking of that got overplayed was "You Outta Know" by Alanis Morrisette. What happened to her? Is she still around, or just a one album wonder?
lol...wow this thread is bringing back memories for me of mid-adolescent angst...haha : )
About alanis--yep she's still around, she's got a couple of singles out right now, one called "Hands Clean" and one called "Precious Illusions"...she might have more out but that's all I can remember. I like alanis but agree that "You Oughtta Know" was a bit overplayed back in the day! lol.
Overplayed song that is currently annoying me: that one by Uncle Cracker where he talks about swimming in your veins like a fish in the sea...I think it's called "Follow Me". It was different and okay at first, but most dj's should stick to being dj's and not try to sing. lol.
Also, that one by Our Lady Peace, "Somewhere Out There"...I loved it the first one hundred times I heard it, but now it's getting a bit irritating.
Cant say I know of any bad ones. Here is a good one Im listening to this morning. 'Ballad of a Thin Man' Dylan HAH he says there should be a law against you comin around; you should be made to wear ear phones HAH! love it!
I have to the songs that are too repetitive are "Hey, Jude" and "Love Me Do" by the Beatles. of course, they don't play them on the stations that often, so I am only siick of them because I listened to them too often for so long.

I was speaking to a friend of mine today and she said something about the 'three day rule'. It basically means that if someone approaches you (romantically or otherwise) that you should wait 3 days before calling. What do you think? Do you think its be
