RETURN OF THE KILLER KARENS..

This is a log documenting the insanity of the male and female karens I deal with on the phone regularly -

(SOME QUICK BACKGROUND - WE ARE DEALING WITH A SHORTAGE OF STAFF IN OUR WAREHOUSE DUE TO CO-VID AND RECENTLY HAD SOMEONE SHOW SYMPTONS OF COVID IN WAREHOUSE WHICH CAUSED TO CLOSE THE WAREHOUSE FOR TWO DAYS SO ORDERS HAVE RUN BEHIND FOR SHIPPING)

ONE OLDER CALLER IN ALABAMA AFTER EXPLAINING TO THEM THAT WE CANT GET SOMETHING SHIPPED NEXT DAY AIR BECAUSE IT WAS PAST CUT OFF TIME FOR FED EX -

"I KNOW WHY YOU CANT SHIP IT, IT IS BECAUSE I VOTED FOR TRUMP YOU DAMN SNOWFLAKES ARE SUM EVIL SONS OF B---HES"

ANOTHER ELDERLY CALLER IN UTAH THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE AN ITEM BUT WONT BE DELIVERED TILL TOMORROW -

"I AM GOING OUT OUT OF TOWN TOMORROW ON VACATION. TELL YOUR PEOPLE THEY BETTER HAVE THAT WAREHOUSE FULLY STAFFED TO GET THIS STUPID THING OUT I DONT GIVE A SH-- IF COVID MAKES THEIR HANDS FALL OFF AND THEY HAVE TO BE HOOKED UP TO VENTILATORS WHILE DOING IT. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE"

A CALLER WHO WAS ARGUMENTATIVE EVERY STEP OF THE WAY AS I WAS TRYING TO TROUBLESHOOT AN ISSUE WITH HIS MEDICAL DEVICE -

"I'VE BEEN WORKING AS A ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN FOR OVER 30 YEARS. STOP TREATING ME LIKE I AM OF THOSE STUPID

That has been what I'm getting recently. Sorry for the caps Been typing this when customers scream at me on the phone or between calls. Feel free to add any stories you have. Will update with more later..

Must be nice. We got a lot of killer Karen's here in the Carolinas. I think the men out populates the women with that down here. I have ran into some killer Kevin's and a cancer dude I know happens to be one of them. Makes me wonder if all cancer dudes are Kevin's.

My son called me a Karen yesterday. When I tried to defend myself he brought up the time that I spent 20 minutes complaining to grubhub because they screwed up my order.

In my defense, I ordered food for 4 people and they delivered only 3 of the meals. I just wanted the missing items.

So I guess we all have our moments.

Im bumping this back up to express a sentiment that Karen customers need to hear a little louder -

WE ARE NOT YOUR THERAPISTS! I REPEAT, WE ARE NOT YOUR THERAPISTS!



I understand venting your frustrations regarding what you are upset about for a few minutes. BUT IT IS NOT OUR JOB TO LISTEN TO YOUR ENTIRE LIFE F----N STORY!

Once you have gotten past road rage karen mode after a few minutes of talking, let's solve the damn problem.

Another thing, after an agent lets you spill your venom for 5 minutes on end, DO NOT INTERRUPT THEM EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WHEN THEY ARE ASKING QUESTIONS OR GIVING YOU INFORMATION THAT IS IMPORTANT

I understand you are in love with yourself and think everything you say has pertanance or deep meaning, but this is not a state of the union. The call is to resolve your issue, not to hear yourself talk endlessly with no hope of anyone else responding.

Also know when you are going on rants that have nothing to do at the issue at hand, a lot of reps will put the headset down but crank the volume up to hear when you finally shut the hell up.

We are not listening, we are trying to resolve the issue on our own since you elect to scream for minutes on end about life's unfairness and how you hold the rep accountable for something the company or a completely different rep did .

And one last note for now - PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, STOP SAYING IT'S NOT PERSONAL AFTER SCREAMING, THEN GOING ON TO INSULT A REP WITH DEROGATORY, RACIST REMARKS FOR SOMETHING THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH.

WE BOTH KNOW IT'S A LIE AND YOU'RE AN ENTITLED PIECE OF SH-- WHO GETS OFF ON ABUSE OF POWER JUST LIKE A CERTAIN PRESIDENT I CALL BABY HITLER.
