well, one year is a bit too long to me..I think I will have moved on by then..unless a person is really, exceptionally interesting or my type.. lol

but then maybe I am too quick to judge..or make my mind..?? I don't know, it's like, to me, if I don't feel something at the first meeting..then it won't likely happen ever in the future..somehow, growing onto someone over time doesn't really apply to me.. :s I quite instantly know if I want to date a guy or just be friends with him.. falling off after dating for some time, is a different story, though.. and this is how things work for me.. but then I've know friends of mine who work the opposite way of mine.. everyone's different..🙂


I haven't put lies on my profile on a dating website (just one since I joined one lol)..because..well, I'm going to meet this person or that person and if I put up any lie on it, they would learn it as soon as (or sooner or later lol .. there is no lie one can pull off for so long.. it comes out.. eventually) we meet in person..so why would I do that..?? ..unless I enjoy pulling mean pranks on people..or interested in stealing(??) their pocketbooks.. but neither for me..🙂

not necessarily have to be about this dxpnet site..but like, online dating sites..
I have met a few people from online dating sites..and unless there was distance issue
I met them in about two weeks from the first contact..(as long as both parties find the other one interesting enough to set an offline meeting that is)
when I told this to my friends, most of them said that maybe it was too quick or too short time to know someone.. but then I don't know..I think meeting someone in person once would make up a better knowledge of said person than exchanging a year long messages, phone calls, etc.. it's like a job interview..put up one's profile online, pass the first ground then go for the second ground..and the second one is sort of the real deal (at least for me..)

so just asking.. how long does it usually take for you to make up your mind to meet someone you know from the net in person..?

also, if you happen to have any interesting stories regarding to this topic, please do share..
