Who is 'SOCIETY'?

I've listened to a lot of people blame a lot of things to 'society', but what I dont get is, arent they also part of 'society'? Society seems to be this invisible force with tremendous power, but no one person ever admits to being 'society' or part of society. Then, who comes up with these societal rules if people are pointing in the air when the source is asked/needed?

Society=Sheep for the most part. Whenever someone says to me "Ya know they say ................" My reply is "who the fu*k is "THEY"?

I think it's a term people throw around given their beliefs since fundamentally a society is a collection of people sharing the same ideas or customs etc. When those beliefs are deemed good people bond and acts like an ego booster for the collective but when the beliefs lead to something heinous people are quick to dodge claims and point fingers back at it purely because they don't want to take the blame for it.

Along different lines of thinking. I believe everyone feels alone at some point and feels that need to conform and belong which is why a society is created but at the same time there's so many preaching uniqueness and individualism that it's ideals actually start to fall apart. Sort of like a cycle.

Aquasnoz, politically its understandable because there's an actual leader to blame when shit hits the fan, but when it comes to random stuff, there are 'rules' that you are supposed to follow & noone knows where those rules come from. All they say is that 'society have spoken', but nobody fucking knows this society who issues all the rules that shouldnt be broken.

I was watching some tv & they were discussing the 'size zero' thing popular among Hollywood female stars & other women who are into it. The majority of the celebrities interviewed about the issue, all blamed 'society'. Like, society is some foreign thing that nobody is ever part of & you are right, when things go bad thats when all this society bs starts.

Thing is, what are YOU doing to correct what society did/said? By blame, that means you are disassociating yourself from the mess of it all, now what? People are amazing.

Nah I definitely feel you on that which is a shame! What about the essence of a society and associate the 'ideals' as that political leader. It would explain the chaos and mess because there's no solid figure to blame. I do agree to everyone of us create the our society's image it's easy to sit and view it and find the flaws like those celebrities and not owning up to it. Perhaps ignorance plays a role too.

I'll just stick to rebelling by charming and clowning as usual! 😄

@Tizi: lol I totally agree, I mean wealth might not be the driving factor it just seems a lot more plausible for them to participate in some worldwide agenda. I always enjoy those conspiracy videos for kicks but there's just some part of me that refuse it's true. It's not so much the conspiracies themselves but profiling with those who get to the top of the ladder and what their motivations might be.

The best one I've come across so far would be the video about Gadaffi because it presented some very questionable material behind US motives but isn't so blinded by that fact and presented as to WHY he might've been targeted. But meh I don't see myself as an intellectual at all most of the times my thoughts stay just that.

The one thing I can't deny is that the American dollar seems to be the driving force behind many economies which seems to be the backbone of many societies. Ruling out things like traditions, trading is the most ancient of all trades. That's where the notion that those with mast amounts of wealth are in total power makes a lot of sense.

Unforunately probably not something I'll see in this lifetime and one would think exposing such secrets wouldn't really solve any problems because they'd still hold all the wealth lol.
