I was speaking to a friend of mine today and she said something about the 'three day rule'. It basically means that if someone approaches you (romantically or otherwise) that you should wait 3 days before calling. What do you think? Do you think its best to be eager or to wait a while?

Understanding the Three Day Rule in Relationships
The three day rule suggests waiting three days before responding to someone to create anticipation. Its effectiveness varies; some see it as a way to build mystery, while others believe it may cause unnecessary delays. Authentic communication is generally best, but understanding personal boundaries and context matters.
I would wait I wouldnt want to look so anxious.
Wait because as the good saying goes.....
Good thing comes to those who wait.

I generally think however it flows is the way to go. I've heard of this rule for guys, which is cool, but I've never had to wait 3 days for that first phone call, I think just because usually if I click with a guy, I click BIG TIME, so it's unsaid but obvious that neither of us wants to wait 3 days. lol.
Even though i have waited a few times, I think it is like a game of rules for dating and it should be something that you feel you want to do and not because someone in society said you should wait to call someone. If you really like them then go for it. A real man or woman would find that attractive.
I don't like rules, always been a nonconformist. Call whenever.
Yeah, you're right guys. I suppose its a matter that if you feel comfortable with the person then it doesnt matter when you call. If its hard or you have to play games then it probably isnt meant to be...
I guess i was referring to cues. Sometimes people hassle you when you've given then no 'come on' cues and i think in this case they are best to wait and practice the three day rule or the no day at all rule!
Also, sometimes it may not be the right timing so i think you should wait. As marinesag says, good comes to those who wait.

Yeah I would say, if in doubt, err on the side of caution and reserve unless everything in your whole soul is screaming, "YOU MUST CALL NOW!" (hehe)...that is what I would do if in doubt.
