I've been thinking about this lately, and I have had several conversations over the course of the past year about this, and my question is: What do you want out of life and how do you think your Sun sign affects you either positively or negatively in your efforts to achieve whatever goals you may have for yourself?
Interestingly, most of my female friends have basically the same life aspirations: get married, have kids, maybe work/maybe not. I asked them, what scares you in the middle of the night and makes you panic about what you will regret if you don't do it? All of them said the same thing, the one thing that scares them is dying alone and never getting married. I said, "Screw that, the thing that scares me and wakes me up in the middle of the night is thinking about being old and living in a homeless shelter. I don't give a damn about getting married or dying alone, because unless me and the other person are in a horrible accident that takes us both out at the same time...I'd be dying alone anyway." So, I got my Karmic Number from this numerology thing, and I am a #8 and this freaked the crap outta me for what it said: "Karmic Number 8

Number 8's reap the greatest karmic rewards by having faith
and working diligently to accomplish their goals no matter
what others say. As 8s are often wealthy, they reap what
they sow by donating at least 10% of their income to
charities. Your biggest fear is poverty. Others' first
impressions of you might be of a greedy or shallow
individual."

It was right on the $ $ $ for me! My goal in life is to have my business ventures be successful. I'm not trying to be Oprah or Donald Trump or anybody, I just want to have those successes, so I don't have to worry about living in poverty. Call me shallow or whatever, but I get no pleasure of thinking about living off of cat food and pushing a shopping cart, so in response to this question--- Being a Taurus, I think my tenacity and just "can do" attitude are attributes that I think will positively affect me due to my sun sign; however, the stubborn part of it, could be a negative, because sometimes you need to just cut your losses or know when to quit, and for Taurus people, it's hard to do that. I'm aware of it, so I try to temper myself, but I can see me doing EVERYTHING in my power to stop any aspect of my businesses from failing.

USC that's me thru and thru. I asked the same question of friends earlier this year and they all had answers that revolved around kids and marriage. My response, "that's it? That can't be it?"

My virgo friend said nope, that's what would make her happy...period. I find that sad, sick and depressing. She was put on this earth to breed and make nice with a man?

Security is paramount for me as a taurus. Knowing that I do not habe to lament finances, that I can provide for myself, the husband and the kids is what I ultimately want. Its not so much the amount of money but the peace of not having that concern knocking at my door that matters most. With that secutiry, I can enjoy life and live it to its fullest.

My advice to you as a fellow taurean entrpreneur, learn to recognize your milestones as they are accomplished. I made the mistake of continually raising the bar and failed to enjoy the good times. Taurus has a tendency to do this. More more more... We push forward accomplishing goal after goal and fail to take a moment to pat ourselves on the back.

Set your happy medium now. Once you achieve it, live within that skin for awhile. Keep pushing forward but own that space before you move the security benchmark up a level or two. Success can lead to failure when you're not ready for it...trust me.

Thank you, I will and do.

To your other point, one time when I was in Paris, I went on the Davinci Code tour. It was a walking tour, and the tour person said (paraphrasing), "When you are in Paris, always turn around and look behind you at what you have passed, and appreciate it." I do that in my life as well. I DO take time to smell the roses. I am a work hard and play hard type of person. I know my limitations and respect them!

Believe me... you all hit the dust at the end, living like billionaires... Or the street walker (homeless to you Americans)..!

Now, what was the life you were talking about..?

To your point, you are correct - ashes to ashes, dust to dust ... that is true, it is while I am here on this earth that I am concerned with whatever my concerns are; however, once I leave this place, I don't think I'll give two shits. My thing is, I try to lead a good life. I don't (intentionally) seek out to hurt others, and I try to walk a mile in someones shoes before I try to judge them(figuratively, not literally).

Well you're miles ahead of me than I was when I started my business 10 years ago. Its tough going at it alone. Take and seek help where you can get it. Don't let your bull plow through the shit alone. I think that's where my virgo friend was right. I would love to have someone to share in my success and be my support when I am weak.

I want it all but on my terms and by my own hand...I think that's due to my taurus aries mix. If you need any emo support as a business owner hit me up. Been doing this a while and a lot of my lessons were hard fought. I didn't have a mentor unfortunately so had to sink or swim solo and trust me, that shit can fuq with your spirit and your bottom line.

Word, and I appreciate that. I have a business partner, but that's another conversation for a different day, so I'll leave that off of any boards since it's about someone else and not me. I don't want to throw other peoples business out there, as that's not cool.

Now we can talk??_

The only remaining of you when you leave this place is the memory of what the person you were..!

Create or do something spectacular (and I am sure that you are capable of) in which people may think of you in the future..

Or else you are just like me and most of us..!

Q, I'm no better nor worse than anyone else. I want to make a difference in my life, and if it helps others along the way, then even better. I am not an altruistic person who believes in some bs being fed by the media or society. You are right in that, it is MY responsiblity to CREATE and to DO. My success or failure is mine, and mine alone. That doesn't mean I won't have or haven't gotten support from my friends or family along the way, but I am accountable for my own life. Unlike a lot of people, I don't blame my family for any of my short comings or failings. Any mistakes I've made (and I'll make a shitload more before I leave this place) are mine, and mine alone.

It's in your nature to grow roses out of shit so in the end, if anyone can make "it" happen, taurus can.

Dahlin' I've been doing that shit for years, and you know this man! I never went into this thinking it would be a bed of roses, with hard work comes success (hopefully), so I will persevere on...you are right, it's what I do!

The only person trolling this thread is you, Bonehead.

The things I want most out of life is answers ... I always have questions to ask the universe, and my mind is forever tossing around questions about ghosts, stars, aliens, gods, etc. ... thinking about those kinds of things will keep me awake.

It is the only thing I really want to know and have .. I couldnt' care a less about possessions and material .. money and/or prestige means zilch to me.

Yeah, I would say that is greatly connected to my Piscean sun.
