Is it always right to stand up for yourself? I've been contemplating this lately, I've spoken to a Libran male friend and he insists you must always speak up for yourself but then again from his life experience he wasn't much of a speaker and I am who is learning that it is better to just walk away. How do these go hand in hand? Or is the balance THE point of the message?

I think it's always right to stand up for yourself, but I think there's a time and a place to do so. It's not always appropriate to take someone to task anywhere, at any given moment - it could just make things worse. I think that yes, balance is the key. But, when a serious infringement on your rights or freedom is committed, then I think it's perfectly appropriate to stand up for yourself right then and there. I also think there's a way to do it so that you aren't just being argumentative or hostile (and thereby not really getting your point across).
