—First, you should understand that it's a process. It's not a matter of one day, you??re living your life with a great deal of energy and enjoyment, and the next, you wake up exhausted and devoid of any energy — both physical and emotional. Compassion fatigue develops over time — taking weeks, sometimes years to surface. Basically, it's a low level, chronic clouding of caring and concern for others in your life — whether you work in or outside the home. Over time, your ability to feel and care for others becomes eroded through overuse of your skills of compassion. You also might experience an emotional blunting — whereby you react to situations differently than one would normally expect.??

Compassion Fatigue: Also called —vicarious traumatization?? or secondary traumatization (Figley, 1995). The emotional residue or strain of exposure to working with those suffering from the consequences of traumatic events. It differs from burn-out, but can co-exist. Compassion Fatigue can occur due to exposure on one case or can be due to a —cumulative?? level of trauma.
Burnout: Cumulative process marked by emotional exhaustion and withdrawal associated with increased workload and institutional stress, NOT trauma-related.

Now while naming names and calling out people on this site would be called for, I won't due to having better things to do. Just bringing attention to this because some behaviors and reactions here to threads can end up bring this on in high doses.

To be honest, it's impossible to have a sane, rational and pratical solutions without it turning into an over emotional whining fest that kills all hope of people learning and coming up with tangible, pratical and realist solutions to complex issuses.

Crime is crime, it's bad. Suffering is painful. Bringing to light the suffering of others doesn't invalidate someone elses suffering.

Seriously next someone posts anything contraversial, ego stroke them, say humans are terrible and deserve to go extinict when the sun dies out and just make them go else elsewhere to attention whore or beg for emotional maturbation or whatever the fuck they want.

Story of my life...

Ya know, I see why Buddism is apealing with how some of lessons work.
Just let go of the expectation of humans being anything you want or think they should be.
If they prove to be useless, let them be that way.
If they actually have postive qualities you can work with, do what you will, just let them be themselves.

..maybe I should look into it more. Admittedly, the passiveness and anti-desire/ego thing is a turn off. 😢

Dwelling u need to fill urself with love. Take this time n focus on u. Do the little thing that bring u joy. If u forgot what those are start doing thing u always wanted. Don't give now because u are running on emty. Fill up n before u know it ull be u n naturally sharing instead of giving.

Thank you Impu. I know your kind heart.

This seems to be the best way. And I think my sister did get the point too. A few days ago I could write to her more about my situation than any time in the last 8 months.
