bollywood romance movies are purer and more romanticbecause the women never put their career first and everything is very straightforward, unlike western movies where it's always "how can I make my life more difficult than it already is?"
I notice when they do, when they put their career first, they lose OUT a lot.

and the men leave.

Unless the men they choose are the stay at home mom types. Plenty of men I notice are like that as I look around. but the woman is the aggressor.

My mother and aunts talked about this, so the elders, have come to the conclusion that women who are like that, usually find men who are homemakers.

because these men have lack of EGO.

it's the EGO that will get in the way, so two big egos are not gonna work.

Kati Batti was a flop in our community. The girl was shown to to be a typical stereotype of "the sassy girl".

And they went wrong with the casting. Thing is Kangana (that actress) is so good, that she dominates the male lead totally (like an aries badass woman).
And the chocolate boy actor (Imran) is already...well...meh.

Hoeever, it was a good movie.

@hydorah : Sadly, this is a reflection of the Indian society as well. But it shouldn't be. As we know, Indian women suffer a lot of domestic abuse. Even college educated ones. And this cinema depicting the fragile, always putting relationship first women, has led men to believe that this type of women is the ideal woman (which also suits their convenience and interests)

Being from the Indian community (though I have been in Canada for the past few years), I wish there were more movies that depicted career oriented women.

the lead male role, is a softer male type of man ....very good for her career type of woman.

so the producers/directors did a good job.

they know what's up.

he was a bit whiny yes, and annoying at times, and somewhat effeminate, but she was his complement. She tried to play the domestic role in some scenes and it didn't work out well for them, he became negligent and somewhat verbally abusive. He''s not good as a role of the male dominant, infact, both of them play a better role as an equal partnership.

btw that is so sad about a lot of indian women suffering abusive relationships. 😢

these men don't know how to treat a woman.

EDIT -- oh I was so curious of his chart. I saw that she's an aries sun. '

and he's a Capricorn sun. So I checked. Aquarus Venus, Aquarius Mars. Aqua merc. Capricorn moon.

wow. lol double cap, with stellium aquarius.

and she's Aries sun, Capricorn moon, Aquarius venus, Taurus mars. lol

so interesting.
