wow this is sooooo good.

great for those who are religious too,

and about a selfish egotistical husband who won't even give some extra money to his wife's sister who has a husband who doesn't work and they are struggling, while he makes ALOT of money to cover if he wanted but he's so selfish.

and about her being ANGRY all the time.

i really like this film this will make you CRY. it's really beautiful.

I didn't care for bits of it...

I didn't mind the devotion and faith part of it b/c I knew it was christian movie when I watched

Things that bothered me

That she had to ask her husband to help her sister when she had her own money and her own job

That prayer fixes everything... Faith with out work is dead...

she stay with her husband despite

him cheating on her,

not being a good father,

doing illegal activies that could have cause them to lose their house

possibly get him landed in jail

I understand that he changed but only after he lost everything... But still wedding vows say for better or for worse not when I have nothing I'll love you... But if I get any type of money, power or success I will treat you like garbage -_-

yeah i see what you mean about the money thing,

but he said he made 4x more than her, and they pooled the money into one account.

he checks on it and gets upset when she takes out another 5000 dollars for her sister's problems because her husband has no job so they need mortgage and car payments and other stuff.

if they have alot of money, it shouldnt be a problem but maybe if the sister's husband was actually actively looking then maybe there is some progress, and we all know that when looking for a job, people dont always get it first or 2nd or 3rd, so they keep trying.

he admitted he was a bad man, though, and cried for it.

i think alot of men are like this where they are so tempted, after they get into some situations with the wife they hate. but not always. not an excuse, but it's an egotistical and selfish thing which he admitted to.

yes doing illegal things, he could have went to prison for doing that. And women stay with their husbands even after they have long term affairs with other women, he almost cheated having dinner with the woman but he didnt do it not because he felt bad (if he did, it would be different too) but he only got sick for some reason but i think if he didnt get sick, he wuold have went with her to her house and had sex. gross.

anyway it's always good to show that forgiveness and not being so angry inside all the time because people make mistakes and are foolish, that they too need help and guidance. at least in the film it is showing he is trying and i was happy he participated with his daughter showing a father/daughter event, that really made me cry too.

i loved how he treated her at the end giving her her favourite things, and she cried. all the happiness she has for him because she forgave him and looked forward for a good future. you never give up.

I understand exactly where you're coming from but I have to remember I want God to forgive me for all my mistakes so how could I have a list of things I deem unforgivable? I'm working on myself but my list still stands lol.

😆 I know ...your totally right

..I guess that's the point of the movie learning about forgiveness but I can't shake the feeling that in real life things wouldn't have wrapped up so neatly -_-

I liked when she started reacting to him in a patient way and he had no idea what was going on, switching the dinner plates in fear that she's trying to poison him.
i thought that was weird.

like why would he do that?? he's been married to her for a long time and is the mother of his child and they sleep together,

and he is paranoid like that?? 😕

anyway, i thought this was just horrible what he did, cause he got a high salary and bonuses, and he still got greedy.

but it also reminds me of a lot of very powreful higher ups in the companies, and they still steal from the company by embezzling millions.

I enjoyed the message behind it in those scenes. Basically if someone just remains open, and responsive without reacting - then the partner really becomes powerless to think of any kind of response/defence and everyone is forced to look at what they really want.

The film overall was cheese and pretty bad, but I always love bad cheesy films so it's right up my alley.

Him looking to get more money, well he works in sales. At the beginning when his boss asked how he was doing, the boss didn't ask "how's the family?" zero interest in his personal life. He just said "you'll have a bonus cheque". If your workers are trained to believe they're worth is entirely motivated by money then they're going to want more money, to feel worthy as men.

In the end his wife disarmed him from thinking that way with ten times less effort than arguing, and that's very cool.

I thought the boss could have said something like "you're the first person to come back, so I'm going to have a closer look at how I run my POS company because you've made me think" but instead he just gave a big speech about forgiveness.

Making a pharmaceuticals CEO a moral arbiter of the film is over the top, but I can live with it.
lol

she was always so angry and bitter, but she just LET GO...

when she let go, of feeling so angry and bitter, things changed.

i guess, on the bonus check, and the boss should have said, 'how's your family" it is more personal and caring.

you would make a good boss then. and help others.
