I bet it's just that you've been listening to the over- commercialized American music. We have all different kinds, you know...not all of it is that commercialized. Do you mean crap like Brittany Spears and NSync and other horrible crap like that? Because, that's crap - and we have a lot of non-crap, too. There's a fair amount of good rock/alternative music these days...btw, technically all music is commercial because in order for it to get to your ears, somebody got paid to get it there...😛 I'm not being argumentative, I'm just saying...technically it really is all commercial. Music is a business, whether fortunately or unfortunately.
That being said, I like "real" music that doesn't sound like a it came from a machine or a computer. I'm really big on that and always have been...I think it's so much more admirable when people write their own music and play their own instruments and such.
I love Coldplay too but most of the others you listed unfortunately I've never heard, but I've heard of Portishead.
A warning sign I missed the good part, then I realised I started looking and the bubble burst I started looking for excuses Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is, I miss you Yeah the truth is, that I miss you so
A warning sign It came back to haunt me, and I realised That you were an island and I passed you by And you were an island to discover
Come on in I've gotta tell you what a state I'm in I've gotta tell you in my loudest tones That I started looking for a warning sign
When the truth is, I miss you Yeah the truth is, that I miss you so
And I'm tired, I should not have let you go Oooooooo
So I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms And I crawl back into your open arms Yes I crawl back into your open arms.
sorry phoenix....I was just darn busy with all those cd's I got from my short trip to IBIZA...that palce is CD heavean and music bands form "one man ..to many man bands" its my dream place....going to IBIZA again for about 25 days later from now ..after Quart festival here in Norway, then i head for Nederland for my love of life concert (porcupine tree)those guys are the only remaining for ( Psycadelic rock music and alternative).I realy wish they continue to work and be intact.our time and world need those music.....
for those who has tough ears and souls will suggest the excellent "adagio" or "sonata arctica"....those musics are hand made.."not a computer loops" they are rough'n'tough but good music they are... 🙂
those are non-commercial musics that has been and still is popular in "under ground" communities here in Norway and respected like GODs...unfortunetly my head and ears are growned -up from those tunes so...i'll stick with fleetwood-mac and P.T... 🙂
"Trouble" by Coldplay is an amazing, beautiful song, yes I agree. Judging just by the lyrics, "Warning Sign" looks good too. I keep forgetting to go to the porcupine tree website. Dammit...perhaps I should write it down. lol.
So I think I'll share my fave Beatles lyrics with y'all. And it's gonna be in alphabetical order, seeing as how this wonderful site has them all in alphabetical order. :) Wow, they made so much music it's unbelievable! Goodness.
I can't even tell you how much this bugs me...I've been talking about all these good songs on our continuous loop cd at work, but I need to mention that not all of the songs are good. Get ready to hear something shocking and shameful. There's a g-damned
GREAT NEW rock song. It's actually called "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" and it's by this really odd band called The Darkness. Watch the video on launch.com (you know, they should really pay me for all my promoting. lol) It's a great song.
I need some new music, badly...it's been way too long since I bought a CD. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who likes mainly alternative rock, and classic rock (but not heavy metal or rap)?
Sometimes I try to do things and it just doesn't work out the way I want it to and I get real frustrated, and like, I try hard and I take my time and it just doesn't work out the way it want it to, i
I'm so excited! It's September 2nd at the Britt Festival in Jacksonville, Oregon. I hope he sings some old stuff...like..."Octopus's Garden"...or just anything from the Beatles. He's such a cutie pie! I hope he drums.
I went thru a stage...in high school...need I say more? I liked the guy & the band a great deal and thought they were pretty revolutionary in what they were saying. I may not hold him/them in such high esteem these days, but I definitely think that he/t
I will admit I have drank a lot the past couple of days and I have a buzz on. When I drink, I think, I ask myself, self what songs tell people about thierself. Everyone has at least one song that says were they come from and what they are, what are they?
Imagine it's summer, or spring, or hey, even fall. If you were going to take the *ideal* road trip, what sort of music would you compile and take with you? What kind of music would you want to blast with the top down? If you're like me, and don't have
Summertime and the livin' is easy fish are jumpin and the cotton is high oh your daddy's rich and your ma is good lookin' so hush little baby don't you cry
One of these mornin's you're gonna rise up singin' yes
She has this song; I don't believe it was ever released to radio stations. It's called Serve The Ego, and it's very prolific (yet simple). I like it a lot. Kind of interesting the way it addresses the actual disco era and the "me" generation of the 197
I am addicted to their music and the band went busted last year....
sigh....!!
