Also fifty cents has also tried to sign mase, bad boys artist, to G unit record lable, and diddy refuses to release mase's contract. fifity cent also mentioned p- diddy and biggie smalls killer. I think he's trying to sturr something up because he's angry with everyone , including p- didiy , the mase thing, and etc. I think this is what all that controversy is about. Sean has always been known as "puff daddy" since he existed, he changed his name to P-diddy in 1999-2000, and then sean diddy combs in 2002, and now he's thinking about dropping the whole name to just, diddy. look at the history there , can a rapper name fifty cent even compete with that? fifity cent just came out in 2003, puff has been out since the ninties. if anything fifity is biting off of puff. i honestly don't think anyone is biting , I think fifty is scared a punk and feeling inaduate and jealous. He changed his name to P- Diddy in 1999-2000, from my understanding, or at least went public with it. He then began to be refered to as , Sean Diddy combs, up until recently, for example , 2002-2003. Now he is thinking about dropping his name to just, Diddy. That is a powerful Brotha! I mean he is the first rapper to ever refer to himself by first and last name. He even set a record, look at rapper, Jay-z , aka, sean carter these days. He is the first rapper with a reality tv show, look at other artists he influenced there on, such as, Missy, Run -D-MC, and Damon Dash, etc. He even made J-lo. He is one of the first rappers to have such a successful clothing lable. He is a spokes person for proactive, He is mainstream, hosting awards shows, and he starred in a movie. He has also been classified as one of the sexist Black men , and one of the celebrities that be-friends many people. However,Run DMC was around when all those rappers you mentioned was in diapers so to speak so.Rick Ruben is the only producer responsible for getting them huge when he hooked them up with aerosmith cause metal was the huge thing then.Thats 80's music and they're actually the group you should be giving more props to.Which even showed itself as a battle between the two groups metal/rap yet directed more towards a welcoming rap to the mainstream.Aerosmith and run DMC basically mildly battled each other to get "more" out of the other kinda set up situation for run's break through video/single.
