Anything but Pisces

If you couldn't be a Pisces what sign would you be and why?

That's a hard question, Thetis ... I guess I'd pick Taurus, mainly because they have this sense of self-worth that is beyond most other people.

That don't have to have pats on the back, or recognition in any way. They know what they know for themselves, without boasting or bragging and that's good enough for them.

Since frigging egos really tick me off and I fight against it .. Taurus would suit me pretty good, for this aspect alone.

I'm a Scorpio. I like being a Scorpio.

I just with it weren't in my other planets... that's all. If I weren't a Scorpio, I'll mix it up and say I'd either be an Aries or a Cancer. Two dissimilar personalities, for sure.

Well, I only know female ones .. the men may be different. But, every Taurus woman I know is awesome.

Outcast I am well aware of that. Really though you can't say that any one of us either actively displays or utilises all these other aspects that we're supposed to have from the other signs.

It was just a question, I really wanted to see if there was any trend over element more than anything - would people stick with water or would they want to experience all that a fire sign does.

I love being a Pisces except for having Cancer as my rising sign...no offense to Cancers...but it is my least favorite sign...and it tends to overshadow my more emotionally detached Aquarius moon...it gets it all riled up and makes it harder to control my emotions...

But to answer the question...I would want to be a Libra...I think Libra women exude confidence, think very logically while still owning and respecting the emotional aspect of a situation...

I'd quite like to be able to chop and change signs as the situation needed it, like being a Gem in social situations, and being a Pisces or Cancer when someone is having an emotional breakdown to be able to offer support.

Sometimes I wish I could be a pieces because of their sensitivity to others emotions as well as their uncanny ability to absorb information like a sponge! Their amazing vocabulary and ability to describe something so well that you can vividly imagine it in your own mind - and they're usually docile like a tropical fish until crossed - then they turn into a pirahna and usually end up putting people in their place cause they have that ability to see right through their acts, motives and intentions! How cool is that!? Not to mention they're social people but can enjoy solitude just as much!

it's almost impossible for me to imagine what it would be like if i were another sign (or even another element)...and that is considering how vivid of an imagination i have lol...i think the reason for this is due to the fact that on my natal chart, all of my most important shit is found in pisces (with the exception of my ASC, which is cancer...but still water none-the-less)...

however, if i really consider all of what i've learned since i've been studying astro, i think i would probably choose to be a libra...simply because i have found myself attracted to several libras in the past, and regardless of all efforts invested...i was unable to cultivate a fulfilling relationship (mostly in the emotional realm)...for some reason i find air signs the most facinationg out of all elements besides my own...i favor libras over aquas (who are sometimes difficult for me to connect with) and geminis (also, difficult to connect with) primarily because libra is the sign my mother was born under, and she is, and always will be, the most important person on this planet to me...i admire several personality traits and qualities of character (which i will probably never possess myself, or understand) that are native to them...

and come to think of it...i really do not think i would enjoy being an earth or fire sign...i know quite a few earth folks who seem like they are constantly miserable and totally dissatisfied with their existance altogether...some of which, seem to almost have no emotions at all (totally beyond my comprehension)...and to someone like myself, who is quite sensitive and completely under the sway of their emotions...i think id be the same way...lol...and besides i'm quite passive and easy-going, and fire energy would probably be too much for me...lol

anyways, it seems i have expressed more on this topic that i intended (and if i said anything out of character, forgive me lol) i can type as fast as i think, which is about 80 WPM (or thoughts per second) =) ...and without even realizing it lol (i think i would miss the bus altogether if i got stuck pondering something that interested me enough)...regardless, this was a nice topic...great mental exercise (my merc in aqua thanks you lol)...

lol upon first glance at the topic for this thread Anything but Pisceslol i was under the impression this would be something totally different than what it was...

i was thinking "geez, are we REALLY that bad...?" =)

wow, i posted something kind of similar on another thread. ..'if i could be another sign' for a day or something like that..besides my own pisces sign, which i greatly admire. There are certainly traits i too admire in Libra, and have always had a special connection and ease with both air and fire. IMO, i always thought there were some special similarities between pisces in libra. Namely the general desire for balance, justice and yes, even diplomacy.. 'to name a few ..

I cannot imagine a transition to any other sign. I enjoy my madness and wouldnt manage without it. I love being a pisces as well.

i'd like to second the thanks to capvirgo...

that means so much coming from another sign! and thanks to all the pisceans who love being fish; i enjoy all the re-assurance i can find ;p

if i were to choose another sign right now, i choose scorpio, one of the ones who is an eagle, because i enjoy the ability to 'see' things right away, and i find scorpios are strong. When they aim themselves truly, they can be a powerful force for the greater good.

one thing i wish about msyelf, is i wish to be able to make and keep the commitments (capricorn) that are in my best interest. (pisces sun, jupiter, venus & rising, sag moon, mars, saturn & uranus; plenty of mutable!)

but in all truth i love who i am, and everyday in every way i'm getting better and better; i'm grateful to be here in this journey into the body with generous gifts and the grace of life.
