Damn dogs, are so stupid sometimes .. I was sitting here, right, and suddenly my dogs were yelping and barking, just carrying on. The little one, Yorkshire Terrier was screaming, I thought someone was killing him. I go running outside and these numbskulls have a rattler surrounded.
It was huge, probably 6 or 7 feet long .. it's coiled up, flipping it's tail, ready to strike, and I'm like .. dummies. The Goldie is jumping around, wagging tail, thinking, "oh boy, a new play friend".
Yeah, a friend .. one who wants kill you then eat you, lol
They're ok, the Goldie is like this big goof-ball, he's so precious. He just waddled away when I scolded him and then forgot that quick to pounce on a leaf. The Yorkie was still trying to get at the snake, though .. but, he's so little, I just scooped him up.
The scarry part was, they were so close. If the snake had wanted .. he could have bitten any of us. Snakes, for the most part, just mind their own business and only strike when hungry or in fear. I worry, though, about the Yorkie, all the time up here because he is so little. A big snake could easily take him and plus, there's mountain lions about.
Other than snakes, mostly, we see bears. They're not carnivorous, so, safety isn't really a concern.
