haha, well, my friend doesn't smoke pot but he does love his rum! He's my friend that lives in Bahamas and he's throwing a huge party and I am lucky enough to stay in his guest room for a week, so I really want to treat the guy. He deserves for being an awesome friend! But the thing is, he doesn't really need stuff, but he is fairly sentimental so I need ideas on that.

no just trying to think of something without knowing this person at all, but I would say that something very personal and meaningful to him. music, books, gift cerificate to something he's always wanted to do but can't afford or wouldn't buy for himself.
but definetely someone that speaks to HIM, not your traditonal bottle of something or anything like that, something that says you know him and you've listened to things he's said that you've remembered as to his likes and dilikes. i did that a couple of years ago with a guy who just mentioned something off-hand and ended up buying the absolute perfedt thing for him and he didn't even remember mentioning it.

I would have thought that of all people, antibling wouldn't have been promoting Bling Bling, but hey I'm new here so what do I know 😛

I'm a fishie myself, and sagiTAUries, you made me laugh cos' you're kind of spot on. I guess she could get him anything as long as the accompanying 'story' and card and hug were heartfelt. Sometimes it doesn't take much to make us happy (yeah I'm saying sometimes. Cos' other times, we're fussy. At least I am, I don't want to incriminate fellow pisceans ^.^).

oh, i just saw that antique idea - I'd listen to sagitTAUries' advice here. Sounds to me like he knows a few pisces people.

oh, I just thought of something. It may be totally inappropriate for your friend, but it's just a thought - a great gift idea for a lot of my friends has been an astrology book, or some astrology related thing (like getting their themes done or something). It's usually not the kind of thing they'd have purchased for themselves but give it to them and they'll devour it!

It always amazes me to see how they get into it (even/especially those who pretend not to have an interest in that sort of silly nonsense ^.^) Plus, it doesn't get much more individual than your personal theme.

Just an idea

Nice site Sagbaby!

Happy bday Illmatic! Smiley, I don't think he's really into astrology, I mean, he knows he's a fishy, but I don't think he'd read a book on it. Although I could do a theme relating to his sign, kinda. Anyways, gonna check that site out more!

Man, I hate what they say about taurus. Makes us sound sooooooooo materialistic which is FAR from what I am. 😢

Astroloy is nice for some people, but, if he doesn't get into it, then it's not gonna work. However, all fishies are etheral in some form, so how about a book on Chakra's, inner energies, meditation and then throw in some kind of stone, like a crystal, or a medicine bag with a book on Reiki training. Anything that helps him to find his spirit guide, to find his nirvana - for that's the only thing we fish really want - is to know why we are.

ok I have some personal experience with this as mybirthday was yesterday and i went out to dinner with a man who's birthday is today. I was going to just get him some kind of cliche cologne or something, but the night before we had such dismal awful weather where i live i couldn't get out to any store other than the big drugstore down the street. I got him somewhat silly gifts but fitting for him. A card of course, and then one of those little pisces books that's supposed to predict the next three months, some palm tree candles, because he(and I, I also bought some for myself) loves the tropics, and a bottle of lavender relaxing bath oil because he works a VERY demanding stressful traveling all around the world job. He was thrilled, he really doesn't need much in the way of BIG things, he's very unpretentious although quite wealthy, and he seemed to be very pleased with the little things that were personal to him. So that's my take on it, but if you want more help I suggest you take us all with you to the party. my bikini is packed and ready to go.

yes i guess you could say we're dating, although he travels so much it's difficult, and as for the palm tree candles, i found them by chance in a drugstore, BUT months ago i decorated my bedroom with an entire palm tree motif, I love the tropics, so i went onto some sights just typing in palm tree candles, bedding whatever. It's amazing what you can come up with. Tuesday huh? ok meet you there
