My pisces co-worker DRIVES ME MAD!!!

He is the most irritable person I have ever known in my life! He bitches and curses all day. He has $ problems and has credit people calling once a week. He can hardly afford food, and asks people for cigarettes. He wears the same pants every day, and switches pants once a month. Oh, and he is 45, and has a decent wage. BUT, he is a bad pothead and is compulsive so that when he gets $ , it's gone right aways. I understand this is a huge reason why is so awful a person.

What can I do to calm his Fukking nerves. I honestly feel like he a walking nightmare everywhere he goes. Even customers tell me they never want to deal with him. Unfortunately he's been with the boss 15 years now, and I doubt he'll ever leave. I don't always work closely with him, but even the little amount I do drives me nuts. I hate being around negative people.

Oh, and he talks ALL day, never stops. Just horrible negative words from his mouth, alllllllllllllllll bloody day long.

NO, he is not very attractive at all. He looks like a bum. I think he's got a crush on me though, although he's old enough to be my dad yet acts like a teenager.

Oh and the last company he worked for, he had to take meds for his anxiety attacks. He can't handle ANY stress, yet I love it. He even jokes about going postal. I think he needs to go to a mental home, honestly.

HOW do I help him to relax?!!

You're being entertained by him you're laughing at him and I bet he does have a crush on you. Help the poor guy out.You can be attracted to him spiritually,you probably are you just don't know it. One thing about us pisceans beneath all the slime and scales we're nice people the nicest.

hahaha, that is almost how i treat him already. I closed the blinds to my office that faces his room. He HATES that. That way I don't have to look at him, and pretend he's not there, and listen to music and work away. 🙂

On a more serious side,if it includes problems for anxiety,its hard to do anything really.I'd just suggest trying to find something verbally to see if theres something to get him to chill out,sometimes just bringing up certain topics in a casual way gets people with those problems to a "hey,this isn't so bad" type thing realization,if they think they don't have to be antsy.Shoot off topics to get him to relax,of course that will be making you be "friend" material to him.I don't know,Bi-polar people are alot easier to deal with sometimes due to the "ups" part of it beyond the bad lol.

Oh he's been sent home for a week every so often. But then he comes back and behaves for a few weeks. He drives the boss MAD too, but I guess he keep's him, because he is a talented designer and very knowledgable, and he'll stay late or work through his lunch & breaks ANYtime. The boss is an aqua if that means anything.

I feel for you. Hey and why is Keef trying to make you out to be in love with this guy,lol? I can understand how you feel totally disgusted at his behaviors but feel some sympathy for him too and I believe you when you say you are not attracted to this guy- I wouldn't be either but I would definitely feel those humanitarian feelings you feel also.

I don't know- I say just try and talk positively to him and encourage him to seek some help for himself but if he is a total jerk and too far gone, then just try to avoid him and only deal with him on a professional level when you have to. If it gets too out of hand to even deal with him on a professional level, then have a serious talk with your boss about how you feel because you need to feel comfortable at work also.

Isn't it in the nature of employment for us to work with people we don't like sometimes? I know there a couple of women at my job whom I wasn't to crazy about. If his actions are affecting your job performance, I say go to the boss...otherwise just ignore his negativity. It's just a part of life.

OBPisces, ya it's so gotta keep to as professional as possible. The chief aqua asked me what I thot of his work, and I told him. The problem is, he straightens out for a bit and then slowly back to his old ways. I agree, there's many amazing designers out there too, this guy is not that good that he's gotta stay. I'll probally end of collecting my shares and bolting out of here in a year or so. I'm kind of a crossroads in my career anyways. Just am figuring out the best way to go considering my knowledge, experience and talent. I hate regrets. Being a bull, I'll make a slow decision. 🙂

I'm not saying that Ms. Goddess is in love with him or even like with him I'm just trying to tell her to have some empathy for this guy I'm sure theres more than what you see on the outside,this is true of all of us,compassion can go a long ways in the work place patience also. It doesn't interfere with productivity in fact having some understanding of your workmates may increase productivity. If he's harassing you then it iis time to go to the boss. If you just don't like him because he's himself and he's there,then it's your problem.

It does interfere with productivity. He can't concentrate on what he's doing half the time, and admits it. He paces around, stops working to talk with his hands, gets sidetracked constantly. I notice this and I ask him so many times a day, "what are you doing?!!" and he's like "i don't know, opps." and goes back to what he was working on 10 minutes ago and starts cursing away about something. Keef, the biggest thing to me really is the negativeness ALL day long. That's what gets me the most. Life is too short to be thinking that way or hearing things like that all day. YOu know they say a smile is contageous, well so is a frown. 😢

But I will have to say that we can't play super-hero's in other peoples lives so my thoughts are that he is a 'work-related' problem and my best suggestion would be to do something for yourself, find ways to help you cope with work and relax.
