I'm curious about this and I've thought about it many times. I've met numerous fishes and I seem to be the only one who is so - Arien! I mean, I'm very direct, harsh, confrontational - and yet, unlike the Ram, I do think about consequences, even if it's after-the-fact. So, what is my malfunction? Why am I so unlike other fish? Everyone else seems to be so nice and sweet. Why do I have these qualities? Does it have to do with other influences in my chart? If anyone knows, please tell me and don't worry about being frank because I expect people to tell me like it is, no matter how ugly! Thank you

*pokes Parallax with a stick* Back!!! Back in your box!!!

Nothing wrong with being a little different from the other fish. The zodiacs are just a generalization of people born at a particular time- given a particular astrological alignment... but everyone adds their own flaire.

There was a discussion on the virgo board about the behavorial differences among virgos born in August.. vs. those born in Sept. The following is an exerpt describing decans.. but you can search the web and find out more about the decans in Pisces:

Decans/Decantes

In order to give fuller interpretation to the Zodiac Signs, ancient astrologers subdivided each Sign into periods of approximately ten days. These divisions are known as the "decans" or "decantes" and cover modifications of individual traits, attributed to minor planetary influences, which temper or blend with the ruling influence of the period. The ten-day spans are somewhat arbitrary in order to allow for the five (and sometimes six) extra days in the year beyond the 360 days required for the thirty-six decans. According to accepted prodcedure, these days have thus been added to form various six-day periods instead of five. The earliest records of decans have been found inside coffin lids dating from the Tenth Egyptian Dynasty around 2100 B.C. Decans are also mentioned in the Babylonian Enuma Anu Enil, which dates approximately four centuries later. The root of the word "decante" is Greek in origin and means "ten days apart."

Ooops, sorry seizeTheDay! I should be more thoughtfull about referring to other signs when I'm writing in here. I didn't mean anything against Aries, as I see you are. Apologies!!! I love Aries, so I wasn't suggesting that those were bad qualities, I only meant them as being part of the Arien character. Actually, I know several male Aries and love them all very much. Thanks for your input and Parallax too. He/she can't help it, that's the Cancer thing! I've never had anyone do a chart on me, so I was thinking that maybe I was born in some position that influenced me. I do know that I was suppose to be born nearly 3 weeks before it happened and the docs had to force me out, so maybe that has something to do with it. I don't really know, but thanks so much - I will do some investigating.

Nah.. I didn't think you meant anything against aries.. no offense was taken at all. I actually thought it was a compliment (us Aries love being talked about.. we're #1 WOO HOO)

.. yah.. so I didn't think what you said was wrong.. or bad.. or offensive. But I did want to point out correaltion between how you were feeling.. and what has been discussed on the Virgo boards.

awwww.. Parallax.. (don't be fooled, he's not going off to cry.. he's just trying to get a sympathy hug and use the opportunity to feel you up)

He's just crying about what I wrote on another board about Cancers, but you're right, I did feel a hand trying to slip under my shirt. I'll have to sick my dog on him. You are so unlike an Aries. My son's wife is Aries and she would have taken offense at what I said, even if she knew I didn't mean it derogatory. I appreciate your maturity and honesty.

It just drives me mad at how all Pisces are the same and I'm so different. And decisions - shoot, I make all the decisions in my home. Every one of them and that's so out of character for me. I do day-dream alot . . . about an Arien man (but don't tell anybody) and that part sure holds true, but the rest of me is unlike any fish. I'm strong, competitive, organized (somewhat), decisive, and often unsympathetic. Just straight forward - no beating around the bush. And tears, my God, the earth would dry up if it was left up to me - I'll stand up and face anything without shedding a single drop and so, what's wrong with me?

I have same thing here P-Angel. No, not as same as yours (as Arian), but I got Moon in Leo (somewhat second character). This conjuction also seems to be very "unstable" LOL. Sometimes I'm quiet, but sometimes its hot! hot! hot! and burns everyone near me LOL. Besides of that, ballance between those characters is wonderfull. Doubled creativity which comes from Leo and Pisces character added with enterprising abilities is somewhat exciting. Most of the times even I excited by myself.

On the other hand, I have brother who is Sun in Aries and Moon in Virgo and we are totally doubled opposites LOL. His good skills towards people and money was exciting for me in first times. But after a while, I started to see that his "exciting" look doesnt comes to his "promised" results, I started to see his real nature.

Now I'm only relate to my own reality and listening his advises only when he can "explain" his "point" untill the end. Interesting, after I started doing so, I found much more stable qualities in myself. Results are also seen on material basis, so I dont have to wonder.

My careless appoarch to his advises seems to be very shocking for him. It seems like he didnt waited anything like that from anyone before. He even started to listen my advises now.

Thats all. I hope I gave you some insight.

Nothings wrong with you- I am also strong, competitive, organized (somewhat!), decisive (when I make a final decision, I stick with it, it just might take me a while to "come around"), and I can be unsympathetic also, especially when someone is "stuck" in life "playing the victim"- Those types bring me down really fast, so I choose to stay away from them, if it doesn't look like they will ever move on...

Being a pisces, you have the gift of seeing both sides, as well as a strong intuition. Your life, & lifes experiences, history, childhood, etc. are always going to be unique to you- and these things, together with the pisces traits are going to make you, naturally, "different" from another pisces. Personality is not only inherited, it is learned, and changes throughout your lifetime.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

I have to go seizeTheDay, my son and daughter-in-law are here and are both stomping their feet with impatients. Right here and now, that's the motto with them and well, I can't fight against the both of them - I would get . . . crushed !!!! - as my son says.

I like being teased, so long as it's in fun - my skin is thin, though. But, that's ok because I can handle it. It was nice meeting you and I hope you work out the situation with your co-worker.

Don't boggart that j.... my friend, pass it over to me!

Typical Pisces, afterall !!!!!

P-Angel, I wouldn't worry about not being the typical fish, I think we all have it in us to be very cold at times and we can be in control of our lives and still be a dreamer, Have you ever read Born on A Rotten Day? coping with the Dark Side OF the Zodiac? all of us pisces will see something about us there that isn't so sweet, and it's true because I was like Yep that's me and I know I can be that way. I can't say I am the most organized person, and I follow what I feel not what others want me to do,you are who U are and that's it. I actually come down from the clouds from time to time for some reality, even though it requires removing the rose colored glasses lol. Cheer up Fishy you are a true Pisces.

Hi P-Angel, I am also a Pisces and even though I have this sweet, caring, loving, understandsing side of me there's also this harsh, confrontational, competitive side of me so it's not just you don't worry. I think it's the other sign's influence on me that made me into a critical, harsh, confrontaional person that I am now. Thanks to my mother LOL, she's a Capricorn, VERY critical, she drives me nuts, even made me cry several times (since I'm very sensitive) to the point where I just had to put on that mask as a defense, to act like her, to make her feel how I feel, in hopes that she would just stop. So, I would be harsh and critical back to her and by doing this she can no longer make me cry (I think she enjoys looking at me crying, she's so heartless). Personally, I do not like Capricorns, my cousin is a Capricorn, and both she and my mother are backstabbers. LOL it's me again Pisces being judgemental, oh well.

MsPisces,

Only a Slippery Fish could try to spin the Virgo exposure of hypocrisy and dirty tricks as being foolish...

AGAIN: Where were you sanctimonious sea slugs back in FEB 2007, when P-Angel was at her paranoid attack shark worst?? My threads exposing her bullsh1t were being deleted about as fast as I could type them. Also, I rarely see any of you bottom-feeders criticizing her for turning on a new poster she befriended early on. She used to be very bad about that, but I can't recall a single Pisces calling her on it...

But thank you for making it quite plain why Pisces & Virgo should never attempt romance. My Scorp has more integrity in her sphincter than any of you could ever muster with words, deeds, or dreams -- your talk is flatulent verbosity (IOW, you're full of hot stinky air!)...

But do carry on, and dream on, while YOUR REALITY is quite clear to the rest of us...

Here's the difference: Virgs will listen to the criticism. We may not like to hear it, but we'll at least listen. Some of us maturer Virgs will even apologize for our excesses, and try to do better.

Haven't seen ANY FISH even come close to such self-awareness, and yet y'all are supposed to be so much better "in tune" with yourselves than us poor robo-Virgs... hell, you must be singing a dirge, then!

When it comes to taking licks, I'll put my thick skin up against shiny fish scales any day...

"Did you say that with a straight face?"

Yep. Me, and quite a few non-Virgos, too...

:: DY waits for the Typical Pisces Brush Off -- us non-Pisces just don't get IT ::

Y'all remind me of the Con Man in the movie Semi-Tough, whose motto and bunk was GET IT. Nobody could ever really say just what IT was, even though they gave the dude lots of $ $ $ to be tortured in his seminars...
