What If .....

.. you knew that your true calling, the one talent or skill you had above everything else in life was immoral, disgraceful .. would you do it anyway?

What leads me to ask this question is my own talent .. something that I'm so damn good at, I could do it in my sleep .. but, it's illegal, horrible.

Would you do it anyway .. would you answer the call?

It's not very nice .. so, I'm too embarrassed to say. In fact, it's really, really bad.

But, I think about this a lot .. if everybody is given a talent, something they do damn good, a pro .. but, they don't do it, then they aren't being true to themselves, are they?

That's what I think about .. to be true to yourself, you have to be who you are. What if it's something terrible?

Well, you must take your talent and find a way to put it to good use, whether it be career wise or family wise, or another aspect of your life, if you truly talented at... whatever it is, then find a way to let that talent show through... if it's illegal.. well your just going to have to keep it under wraps.. I hope it doesn't have to do with drugs 😄.

There's a place for everybody .. and apart of this world, as we know it, there is crime and always will be .. without criminals, we would have no need for justice and look how big of an industry that is. By God .. look how much revenue is gained by crime.

So, perhaps, there are people who are born to be one ..

P-Angel, don't even give it a second thought, I took no offense to anything anyone said, the truth hurts and I understand that... I always prefer honesty over a sugar coated lie, so I appreciate that your words are keeping me grounded and in reality rather then filling my head with false hope. You all are right in everything that you said, he probably won't ever take me back, and it's something that I have to face and move on, and it's so hard, I'm still close with his family, but I realize that I just pushed him too far... and this is what I get for that. I just have to let him go... and I truly do wish him to be happy in life, whether he wants to be with me and give us another shot... or if he ends up with this girl, if she makes him happy, then I'm happy for the both of them... and that's all that I can hope for.

oh yes, there are a number of things that are illegal that i would be great at. for instance, smuggling stolen art or being a madam, or as i said, an assasin. i'd be like alicia keys and taraji henson in Smokin' Aces... yep, I'd go on bank robberies and live on an island somewhere... a natural born Jason Bourne, only im a girl lol

of course i'd feel awful about having to kill them... but not if they were all bad.

That would be so cool, archer .. and needed. There are so many lonely seniors out there who just want companionship .. go dancing, nice dinner, and to talk about ailments with, put smiles on their faces so they don't feel like they are all washed-up and useless .. brilliant idea.

Illegality alone wouldn't bother me, P. If I felt it was wrong in my heart to do, regardless of whether it was something illegal or legal, now that would bother me.Laws are just man made rules - if what you'd be doing wouldn't harm anyone, yourself or anyone else, and the heart is okay with it, I'd do it.

Hey (off topic) .. I just got called in for another interview. Obviously, I didn't get the hotel job .. that's what I get for being so cocky. But, I haven't given up and tomorrow I go in for another interview at 10am .. this is for a company who has multiple businesses in the area (gas stations, fast food chains, convenient stores) and it's working at the main office.

Isn't what's illegal and what's not based purely on context?

I mean, you blow a guy for money on a Detroit street corner and you get arrested (not speaking from personal experience here). You blow a guy for money and he happens to be the head of the World Bank and you get a sweet job at the state department.

You sell pharmaceuticals to the poor and you're a dealer. You sell pharmaceuticals to the rich and you're a reliever of pain and suffering.

I think morality and following one's path has to be a personal decision. If it happens to go against social norms/laws at the time, then it's up to the individual to decide whether or not one's experiment in living is worth the risk.

Thank God I don't have any hobbies or interests that are illegal. I'd hate to have to make that decision.
