I'm new to astrology, and I was wondering: has anyone been in a relationship where you were perfect (or close to perfect) for each other in real life, but your astrological placements show that you two are supposed to be incompatible?
Compatible in real life, but not astrologically
@Sutekh
You make an interesting point - thanks for explaining that with an example. I didn't think about natal transits. Like I said, I'm new to this and I was thinking they were fixed.

I was in a relationship where we awesome together, but nothing more than that, in astrology was a big no no. Over time I understood the big NO NO's

And here is the dilemna. Many people believe they are perfect for each other immediately (Neptune, Jupiter contacts) but after a period of time, the euphoria from the benefics wears off. Saturn may start showing up. Maybe Saturn is hitting an angle and you're going through heavy loss, depression. Maybe Pluto is transiting the 8th house.
You went from on top of the world to the doldrums. That's an extreme example. But the point is that the natal transits may be extremely beneficial during a period of time for you despite being incompatible. Then those periods pass and your harsh synastry starts to show up. Also a couple may be super compatible, but hit a rough transit and throw it away just because they hit a little bump in the road.
Makes sense.
the slower planets start to show. because the longer you are together, the larger planets/further will start to effect. If both parties' saturn and jupiter doesn't stick through the thick and thin (saturn is important) the SLOWER planets are there to make or break.
true about "super compatible" but i see alot of people throw it all away anyway. (influences and just not enough love for eachother, or just pure disgust) The breaking point for most people is financial, deaths of family, which can affect financially.
