yup. i have venus in cap and that's true: i've never been into casual relationships. i'll give people a chance and go out for a couple dates, but if i don't see any potential in the relationship i won't let it go on. i'm more into serious relationships, and just as shaks said, "building something" that has a future. i'm very picky. i don't see a problem with flings and casual dating, those definitley have their uses if that's what you're looking for at the time. i am more prone to long-term relationships. i'm not intent on marriage or anything, just a committed relationship. i don't like to admit failure and because of this don't give up on a relationship easily that i put so much of an "investment" in (so to speak, emotional investment, time, energy). i will try to make it work even if it doesn't.
I have Venus in Cap and you two defined it perfectly. I also want to add that for me there has to be a purpose that goes beyond the physical. If I cant "see" us in the future together then I'll move on. Its not a boring placement to have in your chart for me its a good thing especially as you get older because it becomes easier to spot and let go of people who want to use you in some capacity.
Venus in Cap too, and very proud to be one. This is actually one of my favorite* overall planet/sign combos - i agree with all the above; we are very hardworking, dependable, loyal, committed, serious and solid in our relationships, and we also admire these traits in another. We like to know we can be that dependable rock who will be there. And as we are more careful and discriminating, we (don't) give up on our most valued investment; our lifetime soul-mate & best friend, like so many do at the drop of a hat. If you ARE the one for us, we are in it for the long-haul.
"You're a realist, so you're not expecting perfection, just someone perfect for you."
I guess it does sound a little like me. I'm usually the friend you can always count on - even when you haven't called me in weeks except for me to pick you up at 4am because another "friend" left you somewhere. :/ Has happened more than once.
Also, I could never do a 1-night stand fling. Unlike most Sag girls. :X
i agree with mystic, i am very happy to be an earth sign venus, and really respect fellow cap venus's as well as virgo and taurus venus's.
"I think this part would be down to your Virgo moon more than anything, I have it too" lol you're right, i've read that. i guess it's double for me then, since i read this was a cap venus trait as well. 🙂
Venus in cap here. I don't jump with both feet into a relationship. I approach it with caution. Now as for flings, I am okay with having them and I can clearly divide what is a fling and what is relationship potential; it is not my preference but a girls got needs. 😛 I am very particular about what I look for in LT relations. I would rather remain single for the rest of my life than with the wrong person. For a LT relation it has to be with someone I can see a future with. i.e. Share similar goals, similar life experiences is helpful, trustworthy, and not too kinky - 3somes or wife swaping. I am pretty traditional in relations.
I sometimes don't like this placement because I feel like I am too sentimental and often times can wear heart on sleeve. I can also be really shy or hide real feelings if I really like someone.

I have Venus and Cap. Anyone else? What affect does this have on your love life/relationships?
I think they make it sound really boring...
