Cancers have this really bad and it's both annoying and pathetic to watch.

I have read on this sight some really stupid things like, (Scorpio male regarding Pisces ex) oh I wasn't thinking about her for months until she called out of the blue begging to come back, and now I'm obsessed with her. WTF? WHY?

Get over it, what's the point? It never works out! Idiots!!

The exception does not make the rule Tiz.
And oftentimes the reunion is temporary.
It's likely to produce a lot of old hurt feelings and MAYBE give closure then you move on.

What is the rule though? If there are several cases of successful reunions and several cases where it turned out to be the same old car wreck, surely there is no hard and fast rule. Just a few guidelines on maturity and leaving the past behind.

I agree with the principle/theory/ideal but its hard to argue against reality...that most reunions fail for the reason you stated...maturity and letting go of the past. The two aren't mutually exclusive in these situations. If they were mature, they could get over the past but I'm afraid most don't.

Actually I was making it more of a water thing not Scorpio because out of all the signs we tend to revisit. I know it's all signs really. It's frustrating trying to date someone who hasn't moved past. I was once on a date with a Scorpio. All he talked about was his ex. He talked so much about his ex I started having visions of him in bed with his ex. It was terrible. I couldn't move forward with him.

I never go back once my mind is set up to permenantly move on!

BUT if I do back and don't want to cut off that means there's something there that's worth a second look.

same here, but it's weird...it takes a loooongggg time for me to get there. it has to "break me" ....

kind of how in real life, it took scorpio woman Lorenna Bobbit to finally get out of her toxic marriage from that crazy ex husband who did bad things all the time to her, and in their marriage, and she finally "broke" ....and cut off his penis. it is very bad though...to get to that point. There has to be a "enough is enough" and many of us ignore the warning signs because of love/need for support.

but yes after that. Cut off. never go back. too much trauma.
