It seriously can be a drug. Basically I am attracted to a certain kind of guy naturally and that guy never seems to have much of a flare for romance. I know any sign can be romantic in their own way but I'm looking for originality and someone who does it on their own accord because it makes them happy. It does feel like a drug... Love... Like this is what I need to get high( a few great quality traits). I have the supply( alot of course) , and once that high wears off( the demand ) I don't feel like hopeless romantic... I shut down. All the euphoria feeling and then hitting rocking bottom. Is no fair. No fun no more. I also have Venus in Taurus combine with Cancer rising. So yeah great feeling with most emotions heightened in these planets.. yeah must be the water placement. Where do I think it comes from?
If I use astrology, I'd be inclined to use Neptune as a scape goat. Reason being is Neptune involves the imagination and to be a hopeless romantic, you will need a creative imagination 😄 (nothing wrong with that, I'm actually a huge fan)
Perhaps it's my 4th house Venus or my VIS, or my jacked up Neptune and its squares that make me so inclined to believe in the cliché, " happy ever after." Don't misunderstand me, I know it takes work, I know its hard and yet I still find the journey beautiful and conquerable.
But as for other external causes, I'd use my mother, my sole upbringing, as my reason. She, in all her glory and faults, to this day believes in " love. " Growing up, all I knew what that I would meet some guy who would care about me the way family does, (for my own benefit and growth) and not for other superficial things. She beat it into me.
I meet patients whom have been married for numerous decades and their stories are the same. They picked each other and they made it work. THAT is crediable, it is in the flesh and I can believe in it.

I'm not sure what is causing it in my chart other than being a rising scorpio and 5th house pisces. I agree water may be a factor in romantic people, also venus whether you're looking at signs ruled by venus or the aspects and placement of venus. Maybe 8th house connections too. I'm just not sure my 5th house could affect me that much without any planets there. So I'm still figureing it out..
