Well, if you really are out doing your thing, going places and living an exciting life, and text/call back when you get a chance to catch your breath, how is it a game?
It's only a game if you're pretending to be doing those things so you "appear" interesting.
And, in truth, a man or woman living the busy life really isn't going to care or notice if someone calls or not - and that, in itself, makes them more attractive.

Only problem is it's hard to distinguish the difference: Is she an interesting, fabulous person? Or is it just a game?

And yes, I think the generational issue has a lot to do with it. We tend to do things the way we were taught and always have. For example: A 50 year old man will think differently about a woman calling him all the time than a 22 year old man would. A 50 yo will expect to be the one to do the calling and wouldn't like or understand a woman being that forward, but a 22 year old man would expect a woman to be that way. Of course, this is a generalization.

Because I don't call you the first day of obtaining your number, I'm playing games? GTFOH

No.

I think women expect a call on the 4th day now - it's just how it is.

I think it makes you more attractive to me if you wait. If you called me immediately, I'd think 1) you are really interested in me, but I'd be on guard, or 2)that you have nothing better to do or 3) you're needy and desparate.

After five days, you get written off and 1) you're not interested or 2) you're playing a game and then I'm no longer interested. And don't dare call Friday for a meet up on Friday.
