Does anyone else get this weird dichotomy within themselves that’s hard to describe. There are many times when I’m an abstract person who want to go out and have fun, make people happy and explore new places and regions of the world. However, there’s another (much larger) part of me that’s cynical and mistrustful of everyone. A part of me that understands that the world is cruel and that I can control only the the things I have immediate access to (or only myself) and would prefer to be isolated from people. Is this a Sagittarius trait? Could it potentially be because I had some bad life-changing experiences as a child?

For Reference my sign:

Virgo - Sun

Sagittarius - Moon

Virgo - Rising

It's because your virgo sun squares your sag moon. Sun vs Moon square aspects causes a lot of tension about how you want to present yourself vs who you are deep down as an emotional being. In this case, your virgo sun makes you present yourself as cautious, introverted, and conscientious. That is like your identity to the outside world. And your sag moon gives you a deep emotional craving for exploration, adventure, and happy-go-lucky attitude. So it's always going to be a battle within yourself to try to please both identities. Google sun square moon aspects and virgo sun sag moon. It will give you some ideas of how to balance both.

Similarly to what the Taurus said is spot on

I feel like I’ve started embracing my sag moon way more. I’ve always been funny but I’ve found myself sharing it to people whenever I can.

I’m at the stage of my selfish years so I guess you could say my hoe stage 👀 not quite sure if I really wanna be tied down to anyone. Ever since I’ve released my moon to do what she wants, the sag luck and charming attitude has been all I’ve known. I’ve even gotten a lot of much quieter people out of their shell at work, one of my managers is shocked. Considering I used to be so quiet myself years ago.

Buuuuttt there are times when I make an outburst and my Virgo sun reprimands me. Or I think that I should’ve thought first or handled the situation better. Sags hate regret and Virgo hates embarrassment. It’s difficult to make both sides happy when they’re polar opposites.

It’s a work in progress but I love my sag moon. And my Virgo sun.

That's so interesting because I tend to embrace the Virgo sun more. I actually like to be organized and meticulous in my work. I really like working hard for the benefit of other and doing my work quietly from the sidelines avoiding all spotlight (too much attention makes me uncomfortable). I take pride in the things that I do even though no one really notices and like to ensure everything goes smoothly. Also being cautious prevents me from experiencing unnecessary hurt in friendships and relationships (I become aloof and really think thoroughly about things).

My Sag side comes out in other ways. For example it makes me SUPER imaginative and artsy which is great because I take these fun fantastical ideas and make put them either in short stories or paintings/drawing which people can appreciate and it ends up satisfying both my Virgo and Sagittarius side. It also makes me a more fun drinker. Once I have a few shots/glasses in me I'm like the physical embodiment of Sagittarius(I may as well be a different person). The only time that this duality causes issues is anything where big choices are involved. Often times the two signs want complete opposite things.
