Hmmmm...thatz evident. Perhapz thatz what U wanted to convey to others when U registered ? Coz generally when one registers with a new username itz a combination of factors driving the choice. For some itz simplicity (Cap) and to others it may be complexity (Dyrstr8s & 69silvernitrate69). To some it shud create a positive impact along side revealing an aspect of one's personality. And again it can purely be a name depending upon security/privacy concerns.

For example, I chose my name and Aries tag for ease- intstant indentification.Hypnotic eyes must have tried to portray his scorpio image in a way slightly more subtle. JD as he said might have been inspired by that "whisky effect" remark.

Topazwoman again went the subtle/indirect scorp way and perhaps she wanted to be creative & unique. Freebird loves her freedom more than anything I gues. P-Angel must have thought that her image is that of a good compassionate soul.

Bran is name+DOB and so is dward ?

Well...that doesnt hurt either. It was not a detective attempt at deciphering/deconstructing IDs but was more towards trying to understand how people "think and feel" when they look for a userID. It has behavioral/psychological angle as well since before coming up with an ID most of us tend to conjure up a "consideration set" of choices. Now watz the mental process behind that construct ?
And associated questions like -

1. Is that choice casual or deliberate ?

2. Is that choice more internally-focused than external ?

3. What parameters for an ID are important to U ?

4. What kind of IDs do U instantly tend to favor ?

5. In the long run R U satisfied with Ur ID/DXP image ?

6. Have U been using an ID which has had a successful run in the past ?

7. Do U think IDs underlie personae and have a role ?
