Sorry if this comes off as way ignorant, but are the mantras similar to the Vedas?

Sorry, I'll blame that on my slight sleep-deprivation.

Vedas = oldest scriptures known to man ( or so do we believe ) - in fact they were not written but only heard.

OM = first sound created at the beginning of universe.

Mantras = chants ( few lines in sanskrit with a profound meaning and prayer )

I'm tired of this whole "cusp" thing. There's no such thing. The Sun changes signs at a specific time during that specific day. Depending on what time you were born on a "cusp" day, that determines your sign.
