Scorpio checking on people even tough NOT interested in them?

Do you ever catch yourself checking on somebody you don't really have any interest in anymore?

Like randomly making contact with them just for the sake of it even though you don't even want to keep the conversation going, like you don't care about what they have to say but you still go out your way to check in on them. It's weird, idk why.

People do such stuff when they're too bored n just looking for something to kill their time

I've never done that. I wouldn't want to do it, and if I knew that someone was doing that with me I wouldn't engage with them.

i check up on everyones social media every once in a while. just to stay informed

I check in on people that way sometimes. I suppose it's because I care enough about them as a fellow human lol but still not interested in their drama, which is usually the reason I'd lose interest in someone in the first place ... too much drama. I could make plenty of my own if I wantded it. The other reason I would not want to continue the conversation is for petty subject matter. As a Scorpio I want deep and intense (no! really?) Trivial doesn't keep me tuned in.
