It's a complete contradiction most of the time because everyone is different. there is no 'canned answer' to the level of compromise required from person to person.
some people need it.
some people demand it.

you are right about one thing, we are who we are.
the entire 'expectations' thing is on point too.......except.....it's not the scorpio who has too high of expectations, it's those who try to be with us. I can only be who I can be.....so do not *expect* me to be something I am not because I certainly won't put that responsibility on someone else.

expectations is expecting someone to do or be a certain way. I only expect someone to be themselves. That seems to be a bit hard for some.

If I am not 100% in it....then I'm halfassing it and you just need to face reality in the fact that I'm just not that into you.

I mean, I guess I'm an oddball then because I think I'm TOO compromising. I mean I'm picky somewhat. It depends what we are talking about in regards to being picky in love. I want someone to meet my expectations, but my expectations are pretty broad and definitely abnormal. I'm into the underdogs. If they are too uppity or act overly clingy and dependent on me, that's what I will avoid. If we are in a relationship then I like more communication but not to the point where I get double texts due to me not responding. I'm a busy person. I cant sit still. Lol. I once went to NYC, and I gave this guy a chance and I was on vacation w my best friend so we were having fun. This guy texted me like 3 times a day everyday for my whole 5 day trip. We were NOT dating. Then I drove 12 hours home and he starts texting me saying he wants me to come hang out...mentally I was like "ur joking right? I just drove 12 hours and you want me to go hangout - no". That's when I had to weed him out of my life - I felt like he wanted to box me in. Plus one time he randomly bit me when we were watching a movie and it was NOT a turn on....in fact I was really irritated because I was really into the movie. I dont know if that counts as black or white, but I thought it was a good example of what I want and don't want. Idk. I'm more of a challenge type of girl, and this guy would talk about marriage/kids and stuff and I just avoided his commentary, because I knew what he was hinting and I was not down. The guy knew me for about a week to two weeks. it's like wat?
If a guy I REALLY like wants something his way (depending on what it is) I'll make compromises. I'm not going to be like "hell no go screw yourself. this is how I want it". Lol....that sounds like a terrible relationship. I was in a controlling relationship with a Virgo. I lost myself. I adapted to what HE wanted. Once it ended....I had to start completely over and form myself into who I wanted. After all that suffering, I would NEVER want to be that way to another human being, and I will NEVER tolerate being controlled or clung to. It was very damaging and destructive. I could never be that way to another person, knowing how it feels to be on the other end.

I have a scorpio mars and I just don't want to be given the opportunity to do shady shit. So, NO PASSWORDS because I know what I could be capable of if pushed too far. I see it as being proactive.
However, I will give you every damn password I have and the permission to go into anything you'd like.....you don't even have to ask me. *shrugs*

Let's say, I'm out canoeing with my friend and we've looked at the map and we decide we're going to make it to the mouth of the river. PLAN A: mouth of the river.
So we start canoeing and friend suggests going down one tributary that looks more beautiful than what we may have agreed at first. Scorp: "sure that looks great. let's do it!"
And then friend suggests we stop here or there for lunch--Scorp: "Great idea. Looks like a great place."
And so on and so forth. Scorpio being chill about how we get there.
Several hours into the canoeing, the friend suggests going back because they are tired.
Scorp: Uh--no. Plan A is going to the mouth of the river. I've had my heart set on getting to the mouth. Let's keep going.
Friend: But I'm tired, let's turn around.
Scorp: We agreed at the beginning we were going to the mouth of the river. Let's DO THIS! Tell you what. I'll paddle while you rest...but we are gong to the mouth of the river.

The moral of the story?
The Scorpio is going to keep going until it gets to the mouth of the River. We might compromise how to get there. We might take on some of the burden. We will be chill during the journey. But we will get to the mouth of the river one way or the other. This is fixed water. Full of compromises en route. NO COMPROMISE ON WHERE WE ARE GOING ONCE WE'VE MADE OUR MIND UP.

I have no issue if you choose not to commit if you truly can't. That's okay. Honesty is best.
The problem arises when you do and then pull back, change your mind, act flaky, "forget" what we were working on, not take it seriously, become selfish, try to tell me that never hapened, etc........then you've left me in the grey and I get lost. That and after something is acknowledged and agreed upon.....you have my undivided attention. Having my undivided attention is a big deal.....I cant' afford to give that to too many.
