Scorpio Physical Characteristics

So iv'e been posting these on all of the sign forums, One of my fav sites for astrology has everything you could possibly want to know about the zodiac signs and they each have a section for "Physical Appearance" and it shocked me how accurate this was for me.. Those who are born under the jurisdiction of Scorpio are usually of a robust physical nature and possessed of a reserved and undemonstrative dignity of appearance. When young, these natives are usually quite slender but they are inclined to corpulency in their middle years. Almost always considered to be of a medium type, Scorpio subjects have broad and open countenances. They tend to possess rather sharp features with voices that are often very shrill and penetrating...although the tone can be deep, strong and compelling. These are individuals who exercise self-control and reserve in their speech, often displaying a rare poise. The frame can range from thickset to thin and wiry, but is usually somewhat compacted and firm. Generally, Scorpio natives possess powerful physiques...almost as if the musculature were fashioned from sprung steel. Even the more wiry of Scorpio subjects (and there are quite a few) will have a sinewy appearance, suggesting an inner tension or defensiveness. Indeed, many individuals governed by this Sign have a roundish and boxy type of shape. On occasion, an air of superiority may be displayed in this native's calm and cool composure...but it simply belies an intensity held within that is something akin to a volcano on the point of eruption. The most notable facial feature of Scorpio is the piercing and often reptilian-like eyes, which can become transfixed...devoid of any emotion or weakness...and seeming to penetrate the very soul. Because of this, many people find themselves more than a little uncomfortable beneath the hypnotic gaze of a Scorpio native...and for good reason. In addition, the eyes...usually very magnetic, dark and round...often possess a brilliant shine.

Here, the forehead and eyebrows are usually quite heavy and there may be a hint of the sardonic in the expression. In general, the hair of Scorpio persons is dark, thick and somewhat coarse, tending to curls or a at least a degree of waviness. It is also not uncommon for there to be an abundance of bodily hair. The mouth is invariably firm, sometimes suggesting a grimace, and the chin is determined. In short, the features customarily reflect the qualities of this Sign...combining inner strength, wilful determination and an inscruitability of expression. Most possess a fine skin texture, which may be sallow and rather oily. Indeed, most Scorpio natives are lucky to leave adolescence without carrying some scars or acne marks into their adult life. Here, the height is usually below average to average...tall is rare. Once a Scorpio subject enters his or her thirties, there is a tendency to put on weight rather easily. The head is of average length and often rather flat on top. The nose is frequently perceived to be Roman, but may be either aquiline or concave, tending to fullness at the tip. The teeth may be short and could be spaced rather far apart. It is customary for those governed by this Sign to present an attractive and strikingly tidy appearance. There is usually not a hair out of place, the nails will be well cared for and they will be both health and physique conscious. The Scorpio walk is apt to be somewhat quick as well as having a bounce or swing that gives the appearance of an invisible tail being wagged. In short, most people consider the walk of a Scorpio native to be rather seductive.

A subject born within the First Decan (October 23 to October 31...also known as the Scorpio Decante of Scorpio) is rather typical of the above description, but generally somewhat slim of build and short to medium in terms of height. Here, the nose is often sharp and pointed with the gaze being extremely intense. The skin is typically darker than normal and the tendency to put on weight is more pronounced as the years go by. There may well be an accented libido associated with this Decan, which makes its natives...and others...very much aware of a sexual and sensual appearance. It would not be uncommon for these subjects, on a personal level, to receive unwelcome...or even gross...attention from people and if they dress too provocatively, may be inviting situations they could well do without.

A subject born within the Second Decan (November 1 to November 10...also known as the Pisces Decante of Scorpio) falls under the influence of Pisces and the associated characteristics of that Sign, which tend to soften and refine both the physical features and the personality of Scorpio. Here, the build tends to be somewhat broader. In addition, the face is also broader and more square with larger eyes. The neck will be fairly thick and long while the legs may be somewhat bowed. Natives of this Decan may be tall or even very tall. In fact, the overall impression is of an individual who is slightly overweight but relatively good-looking. Scorpio natives who are governed by this Decan and who were born in the 1940s and 1950s may not necessarily adhere to this physicial description due to the confusion caused by the Neptune semi-sextile influence. In addition, the traditional strong will, determination, secrecy and drive that is characteristic of this Sign may be less pronounced, with its natives likely to be the most artistically inclined of the three Scorpio Decans.

A subject born within the Third Decan (November 11 to November 21...also known as the Cancer Decante of Scorpio), whether male or female, is likely to inherit some of his or her mother's features. In many instances, however, this may not be nearly so evident until middle age or later. Here, nearly all parts of the body will tend toward roundness. Natives of this Decan are usually medium tall and the nose is almost always aquiline. There is also a tendency toward restlessness with this Decante and an inclination to be overly sensitive to the personal environment.
