I wondered if you Scorps could give some insight into the work ethic of Scorpios. I am going out with someone who is quite driven, and I think it borders on obsessive/compulsive. Can any of you describe your work ethic?
My personal work ethic also borders on obsessive...not so much compulsive though. It's weird, when I have a task to do, or an important project or whatever, I become completely immersed in it, to where I won't eat, or take a break, or do anything that would break my concentration on what I'm doing. I try to take breaks though when my head starts pounding from the stress of completing the work...I go outside, have a smoke, have something to drink (non alcoholic of course, as I AM on the job...lol), sit down and just try to relax for a few minutes. But often I will literally forget to take a break and hours pass by before I realize that if I don't take one I'll FREAK OUT.
And then, once the task is completed, I analyze what I've done, pick it apart and criticize it HARDCORE, and go back and practically re-do the entire thing. This process can occur several times before I'm even remotely satisfied. I have a side to me that is very perfectionistic and critical...and the person I'm most critical of is myself. I want to turn out the BEST work, EVERY time, no matter how hard it is. I also am quite passive with my boss when it comes to work (kind of tricky because my boss is also my aunt). But at other jobs I was the same. They are the only people I'm passive with, because I feel since I'm taking money from them, they can tell me to do whatever they want...hehe. Within reason of course. Other ways to describe my work ethic...let's see. I've never been late to a job and I've never called in sick. I've never been "written up" for anything, I've never been fired. I've never had conflicts with co-workers...actually there was one gal who delighted in her power trip of being "office manager" when I was a meager "receptionist"...I eventually quit that job and yes, she was partially the reason. Like I said before, I'm passive with authority but only if they don't pull power trips. I demand a measure of respect and I wasn't getting it so I left, and even when they asked me to work for them again at a second location I politely declined.
So overall, I would say that this particular Scorpio (me) has a strong work ethic, a measure of pride that is only discernible to others when trampled on, a perfectionistic nature and unshakeable concentration.
Boy does it ever phoenix rising. Unshakeable concentration doesn't even begin to describe him. I am very torn though. I try to be supportive but at the same time I feel as though I am nonexistent. I feel like I am in a catch 22. Sure didn't start out this way, but I have voiced these concerns and it is very frustrating. My so is literally on autopilot, only snapping out of it when I have a half a** fit. Could you or anyone else give me some advice on how to be supportive of a person like this? I am ready to pull my hair out. Peace
Well, you can find something or someone to help you occupy your time! He cannot be the only thing in your life. I think you should not be the only one to compromise. I think he should give you some time too. There is more to life than just making money! He needs to figure out what his priorities are.
Rest assured, this person is not the only thing in my life and I appreciate your comments. However, as I am sure you have all been there, I am CRAZY abou this person, we have been going out since November, and I love him, but I think the timing may be off. Timing is everything you know? I am just trying to be patient and understanding, believe me I have my 'distractions'. I was just looking for some insight into what HE may need. I already know what I need.
Hey! I am on your side girl friend! Re-read my post! I said that he should compromise alittle, ok!
What I would do, I would invite him over for dinner; have a nice warm bubble bath going for him when he gets there, and then after the meal you could give him a massage and relax those tired muscles. Maybe if your really good it will turn into some hot breathless sex afterward! Every man needs a little down time, you know it! So get busy and take care of him! Even if he is working all the time, he still has to eat and take a bath everyday. He can do it over at your place!
Ps: Scorps can be quite drivin and they can be lazy bastards too. It all depends on what it is they are doing. I love them, and they are the epitomy of what a man should be! Don't ya think?

Only with scorps i have experienced how thin the line between love and hatred is. It could be because the high intensity they put in their feelings.Still, even when I hated them , I was in love even more! How is that possible?Happened to you too?
Why must you investigate people so much. I have noticed if a Scorpio is interested in a potential mate, they will go a little over board investigating them. I know you know what I'm talking about; I do it too!!!
Is it true that all signs act a certain way? Hahaha no.... i mean, Yes, maybe. I'll describe myself and you guys can guess which sign i am. And no just because this is the Scorpio message board doesn't mean I'm a scorpio.

Is there any way to know when a scorpio loves you? You cannot ask them and they will certainly not tell you spontaneusly. So how can you be sure that you do not live a big illusion? I#ve heard once that the more a scorpio loves the more they w
Is it true that when a male Scorpion gets married, his vibes seeping from underneath his tux cause everyone to sweat a lot and think about sex during the entire wedding ceremony?
