Being a shoulder for someone in a time of need is so vital a part to play. I remember well, and if not for that one person I may have gone over the edge as that's how bad it was. So, thankyou for being you Star and helping her through. We think when we listen it isn't doing much but it is in fact doing a great deal.
Always the Momma Love for the kidlets. They are so precious.
I think I will mix up a ton of chocolate chip soft oatmeal cookies and feed them to the community kids here. They get so little in the way of homemade treats and parental attention. The looks on their faces will be priceless. Lol

Why must you put a negative spin on it.. I do this kind of thing everyday and all the time. There are many that don't and this was a good reminder that life isn't always all about serving self.

No, not at all, this isn't something one would battle over, it's actually pretty clear.
You accused someone of being negative, and when asked who were you referring that to, you refused to answer. I ask again specifically, and you again refuse to answer by derailing the questions posed and now telling me I'm looking for a battle. Own the accusation by answering the questions...WHO WAS BEING NEGATIVE— AND HOW?

Exactly, and damn what a great feeling it is to know you put a smile on that person/persons face, not seeing it but imagining it. It's one of the warmest feelings anyone could experience.
The best is when you see an ad in the paper from someone or some organization thanking the anonymous donors or an update on what the donation was used for and how it helped them.
I'm not too fond of the people who have to put their names on the Christmas Angels or the green Clover's given at banks/stores. It's become a societal "look at me...I gave to the needy"...
