when it comes to potential mates i prefer when men have a blunt and assertive approach. they are straightforward and consistent showing interest and that they want to know me better. the actual forming of the relationship is where i want to take it slow. and like aquila said, we'll know if you're genuine and will be constantly analyzing.

I know they say Virgos are the analyzers of the zodiac, but I think Scorpios are just as much as virgos are, we just analyze things for different purposes. We want to understand the emotional intent. So give me something to keep me interested, something to figure out.

So in essence, how to get to know a scorpio, you have to:
1. initiate
2. maintain some mystery
3. be passionate about something, anything and share that passion with the scorpio
4. engage us in deeper conversations
5. get our curiosity riled up - if we're curious about you, you've got us hooked
6. show us your intense side
7. have a sense of humor - forgot to mention this, we love to laugh, and since we tend to be very intense and serious, we need someone who can make us laugh

And as the others said above, we know whether you are being sincere. So above all, be sincere with us. If we sense that you aren't being sincere, we'll eat you alive.

What she said. 100% . Don't put anything on. And DONT be afraid to be who you are. "I am who I am and to hell with the rest of the world" = HUGE turn on. Especially if you've got mystery thrown in with it. I can't STAND when someone TRIES to impress me. I see right through it.

Oh, and I can tell you. People LOVE us. And we KNOW it. We are damn sexy, and intriguing, mysterious, passionate.. I don't think most scorpios are quite as blatant as I am (sag?) but I have no qualms in telling you, everyone loves me. Its not ego. Just fact. You need to be pretty special to keep us around.
