Ok, here's my story. Last Thursday I had surgery to repair a broken bone in my hand. The doc did a bone graph. Took the bone out of my right wrist and put it in the little bone that is broke. Then he put a pin in the same bone he grafted. The incision is about an inch long on the inside of my wrist. The first few days were quite painful! Now the pain is more annoying. It's just a constant hurt that makes me want to cut off my hand. Here's the kicker...the pain killers he gave me are a joke! They are the low dose loritabs. I only had a script for 60. Shit, I ate half that bottle the first few days! WTF—? The dude cut me open, extracted bone, reinserted bone, screwed a pin in bone, sews me up then throws me a few pity pills! I need a drug dealer!

I can and am tolerating the pain. It just makes me frustrated and grumpy. I yell alot these days. How well do you tolerate pain?

P.S. Not bad for a one handed typist-huh?

Thaanks devil!

LOL gt! The worst is trying to make dinner for the kids. I cant!!! They need to do it while I stand over them. lol

I love watching those baby stories on tlc. Where first time mothers are insistant on natural childbirth. "It's best for the babies...blah blah". Then they get in the delivery room and start screaming. They finally break down and get the epidural. HAHA morons!!!!! Drugs are good!!!

SL, I love you! You always reply to my threads!

I just had one friend stop by and give me a few percocet 10's. I washed that down with a glass of cabernet. I have no pain!!!!!

But seriously, not that anyone is reading this thread, but what is your threshold for pain? SL has zero tolerance. I feel like I have an average tolerance. P-Angel wants to know what kind of pain.

OK, say you had a tooth infected. Or fell down and hurt your foot to the point you cant walk and it's the size of a house. Do you cry like a baby and make such a fuss you scare the neighborhhod, or do you act like it's nothing and not worry anyone until you can get it looked at? My mom is a scorp and you would NEVER know she was in pain. Her philosophy was it's not worth crying over spilt milk. How do you handle pain?

Ok, Juju .. I'll be serious. When I said what kind of pain, I was horny at the time from talking about sex with Blingy .. so, I was thinking about fun pain 😉

Threshold to pain for me is this: Cuts, punctures I can barely notice .. headaches & muscles cramps I cry like a baby .. toothaches & earaches I cry. But, the worse ever for me in my life was bladder spasms, I thought I was dying.

Broken bones hurt pretty bad .. but, tolerable with alcohol.

How about trying whiskey? Just get drunk and you won't notice.

I am a wuss... Pretty much no tolerance to pain. It hurts! I like to viewit as having a distinct aversion to masochism...

Yeah, I am not entirely certain I could do it WITH the epidural. From what I have heard, even with the epidural, it hurts like a bitch... Without one? Oh, hell no!

It depends on the type and where. I broke my sternum without much more than a concerned look on my face. Horizonal fracture with the top actually resting on the bottom a bit. The adrenaline was pumping so I was fine, fine enough to continue sparring seesions. Then a couple days later the soreness really sucked, I hate the moderate dull or intermittant pain. It seems the more intense and sudden the easier it is for me to deal with.

I have broken several bones unknowingly because "I thought it should hurt more if it's broken" but later the dull throbbing that came was way worse for me than the actual breaking. Whenever something happens in the heat of the moment I get dazed if anything but not much more. The pain comes way later. I think the most painful pain possible, in my eyes is voilently broken floating ribs. I don't care who you are, your going down.

But then a bad headache will make me wine like a little bitch. So. It is differen't for everyone I think.
