Ok...Saw this on a post and thunk it made a Gewd Topic...

Time for some South African-sims!!!

We say Lift...USA Says Elevator
We say Robot ... USA Says Traffic Light *dunno why we call it a ROBOT?!?✨
We say pavement...USA Says Side Walk
We say Autumn....USA says Fall *is that because the leaves *fall*?*
We say Toilet...USA says Bathroom UK says LAV
We say SMS...UK says I'll text u!

Then I discovered we have a few things that are said NO where in the GALAXY...

When someone calls us and we say we'll be there now-now...it means we'll be there in about 5 to 15 minutes the ppl in the UK thik it means we'll be there faster then the speed of light!

When we greet each other we say "Howzit" How-Zit... combo of hello and how are you!

When something is way cool or very nice we say it's LEKKER!!! Meaning totally very nice! South Afrcans totlly overuse the word Nice...ends up sounding like Naaice...hehehe

I used to think the word piss was a saouth africanism...it has multiple meanings...
To piss...take a leak.
Piss off - be gone with YOU!
Pissed Off - Very Cross
Being Pissed - Totally Utterly and Motherly DRUNK!

hmmm when i think of more i'll let u know!
