are taurus women intimidating?

I have been told by friends and family that i can be intimidating! When i have asked them why, they say its because i am so independent and know what i want and go and get it...(?)...If i have something to say, i say it and if i have something to do i do it! I have never been one to sit around waiting for others to do things for me and seem to get everything out of life not through luck but by sheer determination. I set myself goals and reach for them...so my question is, why is this so intimidating, especially to men? would it better for me to play the damsel-in-distress and act as though i was helpless?

VL, I haven't been told I'm intimidating but I have been told that I am very indepedent. I'm like you in the sense that if I set my mind to something, I get it done. If something is taking too long by someone else, I step in and get it done! I'm patient but I get to the point that if nothing is getting done, then I make sure it gets done.

Don't play the damsel in distress role...men will take advantage of that in a heartbeat. And who would you rather have, someone who wants a wimpering damsel or someone who can take care of herself in the absence of a man?

Is it because we just know a lot about others and kinda know that we are the best ppl to take care of our selves.

But I do think that there are some rare occasions when we do the damsel-in-distress act to get a special someone's attention 😉

Yes they are. Their bluntness make them intimidating to others. But it's also fun to beat them in their own department. Yes they can be beaten.

Why you look intimidating to men? I guess it's not about intimidation in the first place. I guess it's about losing grace under the pressure.

I disagree. Aries women are not intimidating at all. They hardly can keep their tempers going on. Kinda their tempers continue for 1.23213 seconds. But Taurus women and Scorpio women are persistent.

I am open about by feelings,my goals, my likes and dislikes, and my state of mind. I have also been told that I am independent. I wonder why though...I'm no different then any other my friends?

WOW..u really know what you are talking about, I just wish more people could see the bigger picture like you do...oh my how the world would be a better place..LOL!

Oh and to those who have found taurus women intimidating, ask yourself what it is you are lacking within why you feel inferior in our presence? Maybe its our ability to see right through your BS and the fact that being around us tends to highlight whatever shortcomings you may have including lack of self esteem and independence and that's why you become intimidated...just my observation!

A strong independent woman is intimidating. But at the same time different people find different situations as a whole intimidating. You probably conduct your life very differently than the people/friends who say you are intimidating. Sometimes people will say things out of jealousy or they just want to be like you. If intimidation mean paying bills, getting an education, raising children & not borrowing money then by all means be proud.

We are fun to be around, I don't know about other Taureans, but I am loyal and demand respect and give it. Venus rules us so even the Taureans that think they aren't sexy are found sexy by others. We aren't needy either. Sometimes, men feel that if you don't need them they have nothing else to offer. As a Taurus, we are NOT looking for someone to take care of us. So, if a man has no self confidence then he need not bother. I'm loaded with it and need someone that can stand up and handle his business. My friends say I'm to choosy so I have to be nice. But, the decisions I've made in my life is why I am where I am now at 27.
