I love my boyfriend, but sometimes he is a big dumb idiot.

Half the time he's very smart, practical, and observant..
The other half he is missing links in his brain. ... asks the dumbest questions, I feel like he's trying to get me to think for him. He literally 'goes blank' as he says. What is that about? Sometimes I think he's smart, other times he just seems like a big dumb lug haha 🙂 It doesn't make sense and I can come down hard on him when he's using me like an encyclopedia.

What is that all about? I've heard people say Tauruses can be both dumb...others retain that they are smart. I might chalk it up to lazyness......Haven't quite figured it out.

I was just writing someone today about how I go blank. My brain becomes a void and you have to snap me out of my trance, just to get me to realize I exist and you are trying to engage me. That takes 3-5 seconds. Then for the next 10 seconds, whatever you are saying I am only pretend-listening. And at the end of it, I ask you to repeat it, and pretend I couldn't hear it. I may not listen the second time either. My brain is still yearning to return to the void and upset that you pulled me out. Sometimes I'm actually really deep in thought thinking about something strange, at a reaaally slow pace. Other times I am just a blank slate. Its not that we're dumb. We just think very differently. Laziness is definitely a big part of it.

I usually prefer to navigate the world (including the road) entirely with my subconscious mind. Sometimes I snap out of my trance after I've been driving my car for a really long distance. I am SHOCKED that I am driving. First I am like "woah, I exist...", then I'm like "I am driving!!!". Then I am like "WOAH...I just drove that entire time and got to where I needed to be, and I wasn't even consciously aware of my own existence!" LOL.

I am smart. I swear...lol. But I freely admit I am probably perceived as really dumb, a lot of the time. I am just barely ever engaged in what's going on around me. My first response to everyone is "huh?". "Huh?" is like my entry point back into waking consciousness.

"What do you want on your sandwich, sir?"

"Huh? Oh my sandwich? What do I want?"

"yes sir...."

"Ummmm....oh, I'll have....um....hold on...Let me see what you have here....I need a minute."

LOL.

Yup, autopilot. I envy that...somewhat.

A Taurus friend of mine told me he never day dreams..he just gets from point A to B. So much quiet in his mind while I can get stressed out just by staying idle and thinking. I literally get tired.

Virgoness is SUCH a joy sometimes.

YEP. That's precisely it. I just can't relate though.
You mention a need to engage. That reminds me of Libra, who I do understand. They do go blank if you don't chat them up! But Taurus is different....
They don't seem to be in control of it, and they aren't off somewhere dreaming (like Libra). They just literally go blank. And it does make them look dumb........

I was not only in deep though, but suddenly I got into my wonderland (aka daydreaming) and then when people are trying to contact me. I was actually blank of what are they talking about (because they are serious in their own group to communicate, and then suddenly they want to pull me in out of nowhere that I haven't listen to them at all..).

This used to happen to me a lot, nowdays I'm better at controlling it. I'd go from being completely into the conversation to suddenly spacing out for no particular reason. 12th house Merc & mostly good aspects to Neptune. Neptune singleton.

Lol!! This happens to me a lot especially around my aquarius friend, since she talks a lot & sometimes repeats the same stories without noticing, I always zone out then I'll nod & try to laugh in all the right places.

Most of the times I'll have to ask her what she was saying as if I didn't hear her, when at that time I had zoned out & was thinking of something else.

With me, it's not that I'm blank, I just have a lot that I'm thinking about so I zone out & I take my time when thinking about something. So it also takes time to get back to reality.

People tend to think that. My mother(also a Taurus) and I laugh about it all the time. I used to have an Aqua boss and I could tell he thought I was just a complete dunce. I have a Dual Bachelors in Mathematics and Statistics and a PhD in Stats. I speak 4 languages and had my own business while I was still in school. When he found out a lot of this about me he was in total disbelief.

My mother finished high school at 15. She taught me how to read not long after I started talking and math soon after I could hold a pencil.

My mind is usually everywhere and I tend not to be very present. So people ask me something very rudimentary and I'm like huhhh?
