Taurus friendship with a former crush?

Does a Taurus lose attraction for a person they once had a crush on many years ago but never dated. Could you be "just friends" with that person at some point? A mutual friend said this Taurus was "madly in love" with me many years ago, although I didn't get that feeling from our interactions. I assume this mutual friend is exaggerating about him having been "madly in love", since we barely knew one another. I recall him being friendly/funny when we were in a group with others, but the times we were alone together he literally just stared at me while I talked. I took it as a sign of disinterest that he didn't initiate anything more. Fast forward to the present and we live in the same region and have mutual friends. I have been single for several years and my close friends do not live nearby. I believe he is also single and a decent human being to my knowledge. I would like to make new friends to spend time with, but find it difficult to just "make friends" with total strangers. Would it be weird for me to initiate a friendship with this Taurus?

I am a Capricorn Sun, Taurus Moon, Libra Rising if it matters...

Forever ago. We were in our late teens then and early thirties now.

More than a decade later, I think it might be safe to say he's no longer interested in you that way. Personally, as a Taurus, I tend to hang on to crushes for a couple months to a year even. But I wouldn't say after a decade I would still be interested in that person that way. Give the friendship a go 🙂

But you're both unattached so I'd say go for it with something very casual to start. You may have a lot to say to each other now that the first blush of youth has past and your respective self identities are more developed. Good luck.
