Silent treatment
I just looked it up and it says it can be a trait of a narcissist !! It says when you may have figured them out n let them know about it.. which is what just happened before the silence. wow anyone else experienced this!?
I'm only silent if I'm thinking about life and my own direction of things. And a taurus don't like to burden others so I won't and shut down or detach bit when I am not thinking about any stress or anything like that I'm talkative and outgoing.
this is very much like my Libra guy friend and cancer girl. the Libran does it if someone pin him down for something, the cancerian does it if someone ticked her off or cross the line in teasing. I've seen this pattern in many of those two signs.
It is passive aggressiveness too indeed.
is it silent treatment if you have cut someone out of your life or only if you just intend it as a temporary thing?
I do this when I'm deeply hurt...So things won't get ugly,its also passive-aggression.Scorpio Sun/moon

True I'm the same . but if someone reaches out to me no matter how stress I am at the time I will still respond but short messages. The real silent treatment I would do is if 1) I decided to brake up with a person n thinking detaching all together is the best option .. or 2) I can't do or fix that problem right there n then for that person. Strange but I go so quiet to my father who needs me the most it's almost like I can't help him now so I don't know how to really be there so I distant myself even though deep down I love him deeply.
That's some good options i am probably doing that as well for detachment purposes.
I still think Scorpio placements do these very well !!! Maybe perhaps all signs are capable of it ? but I think it is a very mean way to be so I try not to be like that now .. with sun in Scorpio it can be a permanent thing once they decide to cut u off for good I think. I had my ex Scorpio did that to me for 6 months when he was braking it off. then my current sag VIs is doing it for a month when things were down hill n now for a few days after I caught his bad behaviour ass lol... I don't know how long this one will go for but it is indeed a passive aggressive behaviour. I am left thinking that he's punishing me for something that he's done wrong . It's a way of abusei think. With silent treatment I feel it's also a power thing and the control they want to have over that person ? n the person who's being punished with the silence often feel lost , confused, insecure of why they r being treated this way n will reach out or even apologise so that so person talk to them again...( I'm trying not to let that happen).. it's a form of emotional abuse I think but how do I stop this behaviour from happening is beyond me.

What's your moon sign? My moon is in Aqua maybe it has something to do with it? I think silent treatment is more when one reaches out but the other one keeps ignoring , reading messages n not responding.I find that meaner. Yet I did it to my last ex boyfriend too lol.. but not as extreme . scorpions r very capable of extreme.

And yeah. I've seen my uncle and a friend with Scorpio mercury and Scorpio moon. They give silent treatment.

Mars/moon/mercury are important to look at to see how one acts when angry..
I'd say even Scorpio mars..
this if a form of abuse and triggers the same part of the brain as when a person feels a physical injury. its not pretty, and is only used to serve the ego of the person giving it.
Im a cap moon and do not do this, i'm practically incapable of. Life is too short. Signs i've known to do this are Pisces and Cap.

I agree. Yes maybe not all cap moon does this I think it's only the immature one.
I would say Scorpio moons, cap moons and Taurus moons and cancer mars are all capable of this. Or at least I've witnessed this with ppl with these placements
I've experienced this with a scorp venus except he told me how to pull him out of it and it always worked.

Scorp sun & venus, Gem moon. Just give space except to remind them you love them and are there for them. Save the confusion and complicated stuff for when he snaps out of it so there won't be misunderstandings, since logic kinda runs away when emotions are so intense (with the reclusive spell). It never went longer than a day or two but could have gone longer not knowing what to do. There was a time or two when I snapped at him about courtesy and he immediately called even if he couldn't talk.. Which he would never do for anyone. I guess he knew I had usually been pretty good about getting him out of it and struggled sometimes too.

I don't know though I feel like if you give in then they will keep on continuing that kind of treatment in the future? but then maybe it's in their placements n in their blood they can't help themselves lol
I completely do this... Taurus moon and pisces sun... I'm destined to pull away at times. I can or cannot come back. meh

I am cap sun and I don't give silence. My ex scorp sun / Taurus moon goes way off the grid in silence especially when he is crisis. My Bff a cap moon and as some else said its ridiculous. The worst quiet I have ever seen

I think with cap moon they have the tendency to go off and do their own things. Insensitive to others needs too so ignoring messages or not responding might be one of the traits? they r so busy with their own lives, problems etc.. n only focus on things that matter logically and will bring them money etc etc..unfortunately maintaining close relationships r not their number one priority lol

Eh. It's not always malicious tho. For example, my mom reemed me out for not calling more often. Said I only called her when I needed something (she's always had a martyr complex *shrugs*). The truth is, I was going through one of the toughest times in my life and *didn't* wanna burden anybody with it. Hence the silence.
Not saying it's a great quality and, yes I know I need to call my mama, but it didn't even register with me that much time had passed and I certainly wasn't doing it as some form of manipulation.
You're right tho, nobody likes to feel small.

I totally get this, I have the exact same personality trait. I thought the post was questioning the typical form of silent treatment as in when someone pisses you off and instead of communicating your concerns, and informing the person they have done something to upset, just ignore them so they get the message. Its like a silent form of attack.

Which placements are prone to this? Receiving one from a VIS ! I'm a Taurus sun and yes I think I do this too sometimes .. Best way to deal with this kind of manipulation is to ignore yes?
