Post pictures of innovative architecture, historical buildings, museums/galleries, castles/monuments (if you have them!) where you live.
Anything really that's a cultural/historical/innovative building or place of interest in your area.
Just thought it would be nice to share. 🙂
The Mitchell Library, Glasgow:
The Mitchell Library is one of Europe's largest public libraries with over one million items of stock and is the hub of a city-wide information service. With its distinctive green dome, the building has been one of the city??s iconic landmarks since it opened in 1911 and is also home to the Mitchell Theatre, an exhibition hall and the Herald Caf? Bar.
And what a beautiful cemetary it looks so peaceful and serene.
Vienna is on my list of places to visit, which is getting to be quite long now lol. I wish I had travelled more in my youth I have to say, still it's never to late. 🙂
Just checked out that link, those catacombs look amazing!
If you happen to visit Edinburgh during your stay (and I highly recommend you do it is a stunning city) you should try and check out the Edinburgh Vaults.
Love the last picture that's is really beautiful. 🙂
In the first it looks like there are two faces in the actual centre headstone.....I can see one on the left and one on the right, spooky indeed.
Those catacombs are something else eh.
Some are terrifying, others look quite peaceful.
I daresay I wouldn't like to be alone down there in the dark though.
*shudders*
Thanks for sharing. 🙂
I'll post some more soon.
