Ladies, please, if you don't already, and you have no medical condition that would prohibit you - please, begin weight-training. I promise, it will change your life! Be that woman in the free-weights section. Don't be afraid to squat deep or lift heavy! My metamorphosis that I have been experiencing is something all women should also enjoy for themselves, and I would love to go to the gym and see more women lifting.

Most women neglect strength training in their workout routines for fear that their muscles will bulge/bulk up if they lift weigh
That's not going to happen though because most women don't lift that heavy. They do more reps and keep the weight at a comfortable level. They also don't eat 5X a day nor take supplements.

So they are just toning or building definition.

ABSOULTELY! A woman isn't going to get "bulky," unless she's already rich in mass or is taking supplements, Weight training adds definition, balance, and strength and integrity. It also reduces the chance of injuries (believe it or not.) I used to run, but I've switched to weight training and I must say IT IS A FAR SUPERIOR form of cardio.

Diet is also important. If a woman has a lot of body fat, when she begins to build that muscle underneath, it will see as though she's "bulking up." But with paitience, the fat will soon melt away, and she will be strong and lean. After all, muscles helps you burn even more calories by default.

I do enjoy an occasional run, but I've found that my joints seem stronger from lifting. And, yes, my bottom is by far better than it was when I ran. #TeamDeepSquats Even my posture has improved. I'm getting that "dip" in my thigh, and

It so damn sexy. It beats just having that annoying thigh gap, hahah.

I'm interested to know the frequency and workout regimen of the wonderful ladies who say they've gotten bulky. 😄

I second the bulking issue. When I was little, I used to be very active. Nowadays, I haven't done cardio or anything in years and I still have more muscle mass in my thighs and calves ( and I got those thighs with the front curvature) so don't plan on making it bigger. I do prefer the lean model look. I'll probably opt for jogging for weight bearing exercise.
Some women just have more muscle than others. ? It's a matter of genetics. My sister and I are a perfect example on that she's shorter and curvier (cancer) and I'm taller and leaner.
