Cajun: It's Dy and myself, give or take a few others who believe versus the most of you who do not.

Who will stand with the righteous?

That's what it all comes down to.

Reason and logic pale at the Infinite.

Science is not a substitute for faith.

Facts do not account for infinity.

Atheism, and agnosticism are delusions. Truth is written in our DNA. To acknowledge this is wisdom. To deny it is ignorance and arrogance.

arent most virgos logical and realist—————————

u just keep on keepin' on, LV 😉

don't worry about what others may say about this topics. u will run into opposition left and right telling u that ur stupid, ignorant, arrogant, etc. it's unreasonably judgemental. the love of god does not reside here.

i remain agnostic, or a fence sitter, because though what is written does not follow logic, i also do not pretend to know whether or not there is a god or gods. i am also a highly spiritual person and i practice unconditional love. whether or not there is a god or gods, i choose to live now and not for my afterlife. i know that much. i also can not bring myself to follow faith blindly. to believe in something just because "that's how i was raised" does not sit well with me.

even the most knowledgeable and most devout christians don't really know what they're talking about. none of us do. it's all assumptions and faith. we're only human. we are folly.

so, even though others out there may berate u for it, u just continue to love and live. be good to urself and others. sometimes we just have to agree to disagree and that's ok. to each their own, right?

It isn't an act. Image has little to do with motives, standards and values.

Not all religions are man made. You are entitled to believe what you want to believe though.

I used to be like DY. And sometimes I wonder if I was happier in those days.

I consider myself an Agnostic now... only because I have witnessed spiritual happenings personally... but how to judge who might be responsible for them eludes me. If I had never witnessed such things, I might have gone completely over to complete unbelief... Atheism.

Our Virgo way to analyze, collect data, etc... brings us to puzzling and disturbing places while reading the christian bible. What keeps us in the fold is... there are several verses, both old and new testament in which we are told basically, that all our human wisdom is like the wisdom of little children, compared to Gods wisdom. That our wisdom is filth compared to Gods wisdom. That the wisest human, is a fool compared to God. That we will never be able to understand Gods mysterious ways. I can't remember where these verses are any longer... would have to pull out my Crudens or Strongs Concordance to find them... but there are four or five if I remember correctly.

We are led to believe that the christian bible is a collection of books... that while written by human men... was entirely "God inspired"... meaning essentially that God directly influenced each and every word... making the collection of books "holy", "without error". And to doubt anything written in those books, would be to doubt GOD. So to not believe for instance, the obvious myth of Noah's ark... would put your soul in jeopardy. As a christian, you MUST believe totally in the story of Noahs ark, because it's part of the Holy Bible... that makes it true... you just have to accept it, or risk HELL if you doubt.

Anyway, the conclusion you reach as a christian is, don't worry about the puzzling, confusing, and disturbing things you read in the bible, or experience in life, because God will take care of it. What's more... God will explain everything after you are dead and in heaven... so don't worry about that stuff now.

What changed for me was... I got to a point in my life, that I was no longer able to look the other way... no longer able to ignore "the man behind the curtain". I had to see who was behind the curtain (to use an old Wizard of Oz quote).

So even tho I no longer believe... I totally respect DY and those in his shoes. I know he thinks I'm going to hell and I'm sure that saddens him... I don't believe in hell... it makes no sense... on so many levels.

Once you look beyond the curtain... you realize that not only christians FEEL gods presence. Not only christians FEEL gods spirit. Not only christians KNOW that their faith is correct, true, holy... Muslims, Hindus, Wiccans, the devout of any faith... all KNOW that they are right... and everyone else is wrong. They know because they "feel" they were "taught" they "read it in their holy book". It doesn't matter if it doesn't hold up to reason... because to try to reason it all out, might contradict their faith and that might put them in danger of being cast out of their faith... It's quite a jump to start reasoning... because of fear. Fear of hellfire. Christians believe if you doubt God and his holy word, you are going to hell... forever. That is enough to keep most people in line.

I could go on and on... but will stop here.

BTW, if anyone would like to see the article "The Impossible Voyage of Noahs Ark" by Robert Moore, write me a personal message and give me a standard email address and I'll send it to you. It's over 300k and 40+ pages long, so too long to post here or in DXP's email.

To the christian believers here... don't read it... it could cause you to have grave doubts about the veracity of the bible... and I don't want to be a "stumbling block" to any christians. I would even call the story "blasphemous". Only current non-believers or those who have decided to look beyond the veil should read it.

i wanna thank every one for replying back 2 this post come on coming with these wonderful answers and reasons its always good to hear people opinions.

i just dont understand if they're was a god why does he allow people to suffer thru out the world by controlled religion and humans can control people with it because the book said so.

the world is in chaos you always must always have ur guard up can only trust certain people in life ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lmao.

children dying everyday killed rape sold on black markets for money why cuz we humans think we can control all life cuz we have intellect.

how can a god sit back and watch things like this as being a human im glad we have compassion to help others in need what a great emotion indeed. 🙂

Why few people will ask to receive the Ark article... and why few people actually read the entire bible... it's simply too much to deal with. Most people simply don't have the time to sit down and read long tomes... their lives are busy enough as they are with work, relationships etc... and it's enough to just believe what our elders, priests, pastors say is right. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me, most will say. Even those who are doubters, usually will not take the time to look beyond their shallow arguments concerning the faith of their fathers... which is why such people are so easily brought back into the fold. My intention here is not to berate anyone... I'm just pointing out a fact about my fellow humans. VERY few of us will ever take the time to actually investigate all this stuff for ourselves... that's just the way it is.

If this whole heaven and hell thing is real, obviously Hell will be where its at LOL. I mean would you rather be partying somewhere where its hot all the time, with Paris and Britney. . .or would you rather be somewhere lame with losers like The Duggar Family and The Pope? 😛

LOL.

What's funny is if you decide that hell is really the place you want to be and when you get there the Pope and the Duggar family are there instead of Britney and Paris.
