Are Virgos prone to OCD?

I have a very mild case of OCD, it runs in my family as well.

I have to wipe up every spill or i will stare at it until i do, I have to change my clothes if i get a little spot on it, doing the dishes make me nauseous. I clip my nails way too often.

Do any other Virgos have OCD or OCD like symptoms?

Yes.

yep i have to fold clothes, towels, etc. a certain way . All my books, movies, cds are in alphabetical order.

Virgos like details. They like sharing details and gathering details and putting these details together into one awesomely complicated puzzle. It's a never-ending quest of gathering and organizing. Not all Virgos are orderly in the physical sense. Their house could be a mess, but their mind is pristinely organized. It's a stressed Virgo that brings order to the house to create a stress-free environment in which to think.

I'm not a Virgo-- but my Venus is there, in the sixth.

And dishes *sigh* I cannot... CANNOT understand why people put filthy dishes in the sink when there is perfectly good dishwasher right next to it!

That makes me ill.

If given the choice between cleaning and going out (a dilemma I contemplate every Friday) I almost always choose cleaning.

I have a chore calendar I use religiously.. Sunday laundry, Monday groceries, Tuesday clean the floors, Wednesday clean the car, Thursday clean out the fridge etc

I can't sleep if I forgot to brush my teeth, brush my hair, moisturize, or some other component of my nighttime beauty routine.

I take my vitamins in order on specific times a day. If I miss one, I enter into panic mode.

I can't leave my desk until I've completed a document. Even if I have to use the bathroom really really bad.


Yep. At least I don't feel alone in this.

The last time I had a guest in my house, he helped me put away clean dishes. I freaked out when I saw how he piled them up in the cabinet. He didn't see what the big deal was.

Later I realized that he places the dishes only about an inch away from where I usually pile them up.. That's why they didn't look "right" lol

(Now that's some messed up butter right there)

When I walk away from my car - even if I am pretty sure that I have locked it properly - I nearly always have to end up going back at least once just to check that it is really locked up properly. I think once or twice I did forget and although nothing happened it was still alarming that I had left it unlocked. Most of my dreams at night feature cars going wrong or being stolen or what have you. I once saw another Virgo do the OCD thing I have described on her car too but unfortunately in the end it didn't do her any good as in the end her car WAS stolen and she didn't get it back!

Another thing I guess is that I hate wearing sweaty clothes if I can help it so in summer in particular I may get through several shirts during the course of a day even though the summer heat here in England is not what it is in the States: I do my laundry usually once a week and for one person there is usually a great deal of it especially as I don't like dirty/smelly towels either so I usually wash all my towels every week as well(and there are a lot of them!)
