Something kind of interesting just occurred to me that hadn't before. My Capricorn friends try to compete with me, but fail because I don't care.
This is not a thread about resentment or disgust just an observation. I have a good Cap friend, and whenever he sees me demonstrate some ability that peaks his interest, he suddenly informs me, he is going to engage in it.
I'm almost always enthused and aim to help him. I offer him materials to study it, whatever etc. Then he will study it and work together. Sometimes he will be disrespectful and I usually brush it off.
I just realized though, Caps are perpetually overly impressed by the abilities of their Virgo friends, and attempt to overtake them in their abilities. However they fail at the competition because it is impossible to compete with someone who WANTS YOU TO DO WELL.
Has anyone else had this realization? That the only reason your Cap-Virgo relationship works is because your desire to serve and help others nullifies their ruthless ambitions to over take you?
This is amazing to me because it all happens so subconsciously, I never noticed before.
My best male friend is a Capricorn, and I'm surprised to hear Capricorn males described as "vampiric". It is true, he does try to compete with me on an intellectual level, but he openly admits that I have the upper hand in all things of the mind. He is eager to learn from me, but I don't see this as an attempt to overtake me, but, rather, just him using me as a role model for himself.
So these Caps will openly admit that they are impressed by something YOU'RE doing, take the backseat for once and let someone show them how to improve, yet they are vampire and leeches that want to conquer you?
I'm not understanding how it's twisted to such. The fact that they are admitting these things speak volumes and goes against that ruthless nature, I'd think, and what makes you think they want to conquer you instead of the skill? Then to top it off, the Caps I know usually are not afraid to mention and thank the source.
More than anything, I think this is about Caps nature to want to be the one to know everything, and know how to do everything, more than it is about a particular person. It's all within, and you wanting him to do well is probably water poured over the fire cause he needs an edge to make himself want to do well and stay motivated. Need something to fight against. Need you to compete, not to conquer you, but just to stay motivated and conquer the skill. After he's learned to skill he'd probably embrace you with a hug because you helped him through it. That's big in itself because we usually don't like taking help, hating that someone has to help us. Humbling experience that can be appreciated if you don't twist it.
