Help with possible reasons for Male Virgo Gumption

Hi, This is my first time posting. Any info is appreciated so thanks in advance.
I have a question concerning an interlude that happened several years ago concerning a Virguy. I am still in long-distance communication with him(I'm a Pisces Female and about 5 years older than him). Currently, we are friends. Years ago, he was vacationing in my town and walked into my store. I was assisting him with answering any questions he may have had about product and out of nowhere, he asked me for my phone number and if we could go out while he was in town. I was happy and thought nothing serious could happen of it and gave him my phone number as I wasn't looking for anything serious. I will say that there was instant chemistry and we had some parallel and polar opposite scenarios happening in our lives: just broke up our significant others, living with friends-hippie couples (mine older, his younger--and we're both not hippies), our signs are polar opposite, he's tall, I'm small, etc. We had a really wonderful time together the last days he was in my town; he was always smiling at me and doing the Virgo stare constantly in close proximity to me, caressing my back, hands and arms. He asked to kiss me first. We never had foreplay/sex but slept in the same bed together. After he left, we called each other everyday for a while then it stopped. He told me many deep personal things that he'd he never told anyone before. I found out later that he never asks out females as he's shy. My question is what makes a Virguy ask a female out for a date?

Eerie ... to look at this according to actions, rather than words, it would appear that he isn't shy at all .. rather, very bold.

You also said that he's told you very personal things, in which he hasn't told anyone else .. that's pretty ballsy for somebody that this man just met ... don't you think? Apparantly, he must have told you that he never asks girls out because he's shy, in order for you to repeat it in here, and by his actions, where "out of nowhere" he askes a complete stranger out ..... is indeed, asking girls out, is it not?


A man who is shy, doesn't caress and kiss and sleep next to a woman so easily .. and they certainly don't pop out a question asking her for her phone number.


It appears to me that you are believing what he is telling you, without ever looking at how his actions don't match his words.

P-Angel: You are right, actions speak louder than words. Yes, he did tell me that he was shy about asking out females. He told me that I'm the only female he has ever asked out in his life, thus my question. I did try to get an answer to as why but he quickly changed the subject to art. When he tells me he is dating a female, I ask if he asked him out and he always tells me that the new girl asked him out. I will be seeing him in August (I'm flying East to see another friend who happens to live in the same city as VirGumption Guy). He is a very sweet guy--gorgeous, intelligent, articulate, creative, many other positive things. I can't really think of anything negative about him--probably that he doesn't possess smartass humour but I'll let that slide. 😉

oh..that is the virgo reation uh? to think negative once they observe a weak spot and the female is not able to take it seriously..they think negative about that particular spot on the priority list?

Virgo men are paranoid of showing weakness or of being snubbed. (Sure, all people pretty much feel this way but they are UBER control freaks.)

They want to be able to control each and every scenario. I think that asking someone out scares them because they can't control the variables to the 9th degree.

So I suggest asking HIM out, and giving him plenty of space and 'outs' so that he can feel more in control of the situation. If he's a wuss, you'll have your answer.
