how do virgos deal with break-ups?

i read somewhere that once a relationship is definitely over and they realise it is beyond repair, virgos are generally good at putting the past behind them because they have such good self-discpline. any thoughts?

I would have to agree that they have good discipline .. but, I don't know about putting the past in the past so fast and readily, even when they realize it's over. From the Virgo's I know .. certainly, they will walk away if the relationship isn't right .. but, it's still haunting them. And it doesn't even appear to be for the purpose of letting this linger so they can continue to learn anything from what went wrong and why thier radar's that they think is so accurate, went wrong .. rather, because they hardly get past the failure, itself.

From my experience, Virgo's look only at THAT it went wrong .. they rarely look at a past experience with a person as a success .. just because something didn't work, doesn't make it a failure .. it's a matter of perspective.

Furthermore, out of all the signs, they tend to hold hurt begrundingly because they are too focused on being pissed at their own mis-judgement, rather than use it for any real growth within themselves .. self-discipline doesn't hold much value with me if it's for the purpose of continued ignorance .. we're suppose to learn, not ignore because we were wrong about something.

In the end, the only thing we have are our memories .. one can look at everything they don't have as a loss and failure .. or, they can remember everything as a success because they grew beyond theirselves with each experience.

Sounds to me from this and your response on the other post that you are having second thoughts about giving up on your Virgo .. if you feel he's worth more effort, then I hope you find what you need to make it work with him.

cool, thanks for the insight. i guess whether we can put the past behind us or not, we all come out of relationships insecure and unsure of what the hell we want. i guess in my virgo's case, he's likely to fear another mis-judgement. and besides that, yeah, he's probably pre-occupied with beating himself up over the failed relationship.
i guess i have to admit that i'm not ready to let go of him just yet after all (damn crabby claws)
i'm still going to back off rather than chase him like i was previously contemplating, but in the meantime i'm intrigued by his virgoan nature and the posts on this site have provided me with a lot of insight in to the reasons behind his behaviour. even if he's not going to come back from his detachment from me to pursue me again, i can't get past him without at least trying to work him out, first :p

They seem to have that effect on women .. I think it's because we just want to be mommies at heart .. it satisfies the woman's instincts to have someone who appears in emotional need of us .. I guess that's not so bad, give us something to feel worthy about.

At least you are looking at what you need to find closure .. that's a good thing, most women just run as fast as they can .. nobody deserves to be abandoned, that includes yourself .. if he's gone from you, at least you are trying to find the peace you need to deal with it, instead of just focusing on being scorned.

did i mention my phone was stolen? i no longer have his number. if he texts me i won't know, and he won't get a reply so he'll think i lost interest...oh as if we didn't have communication issues as it were!

You might have said it before, but I'm just curious. How did you meet your Virgo friend? Do you two have any mutual friends? Maybe if you know somebody he knows, they can get his number for you. Do you have another phone?

i don't have another phone but i'll have a new phone soon, with the same number hopefully. but if he already contacted me then he's unlikely to try again.
we met in a club. we don't have any mutual friends. i guess i'll bump in to him eventually seeing as we usually end up in the same place every sat buuut i'm starting to think the universe is trying to tell me something hahaha. after all, i was in drunk text mode and even though i'd had such good self-restraint all week, the vodka was flowing so i reached in to my bag to start composing some embarassing rubbish to send to him...only to discover that my phone had been taken.

Well, it's good you will be getting another phone with the same number. However, I doubt that if he's tried you once before and you didn't answer that he won't try again. Girls do have a life also, just as guys do. This Virgo guy will contact you again, if he's interested. Regarding you thinking the universe is trying to tell you something, well, that may true. Or it might be opening your eyes to that there are other fish in the sea also. 🙂

true he knows i have a life, but if he thinks i'm ignoring him then i doubt he'll bother to text me again, especially as he's shy. oh what am i even talking about, the funny thing is he blatantly hasn't even tried to contact me! and probably won't!
yes there are other fish in the sea but it's very VERY rare for me to find one i actually like so much *sigh*

Believe me, I've been in the same boat as you. I haven't heard from the Virgo guy in my case for 3 months. Now if I hear from him again, it's too late and thank God for that. Regarding other fish in sea, it's a fact of life. We just have to be open to the idea.

First watch all the episodes of CSI you can get your hands on, to learn what to do to evade arrest.

Then watch all the horror films you can get your hands on, to get some immaginative ideas about doing the deed.

After doing it, dispose of the body in an environmentally sustainable manner which does not harm any more (innocent) animals 🙂
