How Do You Keep It Together?

I'm a gemini and I'm a very typical gem. (Doesn' t matter how you see me but yeah. That's the easiest way to describe the complicated me)

I have been meaning to ask a Virgo this question... How do you guys keep it together? Like when things are falling apart, how do you keep calm and not talk about it and just be silent? How do you keep that relaxed outer shield when deep inside it's too much to handle? I'm far from that, tbh. When things get rough, I let out steam. I talk to friends. To my family. I just gotta let it out so I can feel better and do better. When everyone is in panic about something, I tend to panic gracefully. Like I can still joke around and rush and push on things which sometimes, some people do not appreciate because they think I was taking the situation lightly even though I am really not. And when I am upset, I cannot hide it. I just gotta let the person know. So virgos, how were you able to control such things? Can you teach me?

For me I think its because my mind is in over drive and I don't have room for other emotions..even though deep inside I'm a wreck. Its just part of our nature...we try to fix it ourselves..we need the time to analyzing it over and over again til we find the solution (hence being alone and not talking to anyone). If we can't..we may then ask for help..but this is usually the very veryyyyy last step.

I don't know if its something that can be taught...if you're someone that shows it on their face no matter what...I think you always will. Imo ...it gets easier to handle yourself in a calm manner as you mature and grow. By then..most people have been through the same situations before or similar situations..and are better equipped to deal with them.

I used "we" but every virgo is different. But this is typically how I am.

You make the assumption that just because it's too much for you to handle .... that it's too much for another person.

Not a Virgo, but I am a Capricorn with Virgo rising, and I am the queen of "the mask". I keep everything inside, and I silently suffer through things.

How do I do it? No idea. I just do it. To be honest, most of the time I think I live in denial. I will pretend, even to myself, that nothing is wrong.

I do not think this is the best way to be. It has been pointed out to me recently that it drives people crazy about me, because it makes me seem like a coldhearted bitch. So I don't think you should strive to be that way.

Hey Aria!
I'm not a Virgo, but I'm on that cusp, and I understand them pretty well. There's nothing wrong with talking as you do. I think that's really healthy. Everyone processes things differently. I'm a hothead, but a calculated one. I talk a lot, but after I've thought things through. I think as a gemini, it might be best to employ your mind...take a time out, think it through, then seek action. I self talk a lot to. I talk through things outloud and it really helps me. I've gotten a lot better in the past few years with my emotions...but I will always be a talker. Holding things in, is sometimes the mature thing to do, but it's better to process them naturally.

How do you keep it "calculated" ?I noticed that I am moody and ill-tempered. My mouth outruns my head. I just wanted to be better..

Rationalize, prioritize, and compartmentalize.

1) Breath first and foremost. Realize that even though it may feel like it, the world is not actually ending or in any crumbling around you. Your life is not over.

2) Run a mental checklist on what needs to be done. What are the things that you can do immediately? Take action to complete those objectives.

3) Keep moving. Whatever you do, do not stop. Idle hands and mind are your worst enemy. Continue sifting for things that you can do until your list is complete.

Rinse and repeat as needed.

+ me

My thought process is ' nothing lasts forever ' so whatever I am feeling I know its not going to be forever and time is a great healer . I throw myself into positive things , my friends and family mostly and they can often take my mind off whatever is worrying me . For every negative there is a positive , it may not be apparent straight away but its always there . Positive mental attitude and before you know your focusing on the bad less and less .
