I don't think it's ironic at all, seeing as though its due to a lack of proper education, which means they are usually ignorant to just how bad their writing really is. If one is ignorant about something, there is no need to perfect, as realization that the issue needs to be perfected is absent, since in their minds...their is no issue.

No. You can definitely tell the difference between someone being lazy with their writing, and someone who just doesn't know any better because they didn't get the proper education. The latter are the ones I was talking about, fwiw.

True, but everyone, american citizens only, are given free schooling, and if they aren't lazy then it must be the educational system that is lacking the ability to teach them. Although you do speak of proper education, there is the issue of the people you sorround yourself, right? If you grow up in the slums of the inner city then wouldn't you have and relate with people who are lacking the knowledge of proper "American english"?
