I think it's pretty fucked up of any person to make a public announcement about their sexuality, and then make a snide comment about how nobody out there is good enough for you .... when nobody even asked you to clarify this.
In typical Virgo fashion, you pull a topic out of the air ... which takes a negative slant.

Or it could be that this "defective Virgo" had to make an emergency visit to FL because his mother was hospitalized and he didn't take the time to go to dxpnet to follow up with the posts while he was there. Where was the negative slant? Just a question about dating.
Also, I never said nobody was good enough for me, I was hinting at the fact that I find it hard to date while not picking people apart. I mean, sure, I have the typical Virgo peculiarities with being hyper-critical, I was just wondering if the masses had the same problem.
Perhaps I should've titled this "ALL VIRGOS" instead of "Gay Virgos", but I figured the "Gay" part was, hmmm, well, a big part of who I am and the fact I date guys probably doesn't apply to everyone reading this. I certainly appreciate and applaud all feedback, but was posting a topic that related to what I had questions about.
Ok, now that that's taken care of, thanks for all your CONSTRUCTIVE feedback, and I look forward to hearing more Virgo dating obstacles.

Just kidding. Lately I've been pretty invested in getting back with my ex so I've been on my best behavior, but while we were separated it was definitely a different story. I think I enjoyed the idea of playing the field more than actually doing it. I went out a lot in search of people to connect with, clubs and bars, parties, even the straight dives lol. In retrospect I was getting a little desperate but still had that same 'this isn't what I really want and think I'm better off without' mentality. And there was some serious internal conflicts between wanting to sleep with people and wanting a relationship. It doesn't stop me from being a makeout whore or a bit of a lush, but that's usually as far as it goes.click to expand
Ha! You hit the nail on the head. This is my conundrum. I'm a whore in my head, but don't follow through because unless it turns into a relationship, I find it shallow and frankly a waste of time. Playing the field has never appealed to me, but since my last breakup it's been a helluva long dry spell. I date quite a bit, meet guys at the gym, subway, etc. but seem to (as someone else said) be getting pickier & pickier as I get older.
