VIRGO: THE FREEST OF THE FREE?

VE guys...I've been thinking ever deeply, and am just UNPLEASED to say the least by this whole 'Virgoan the humble, lowly Servant' bit.....If memory serves, a Virgin, (the symbolic representation of Virgo, but more accurately would be the goddess Astrea) is a woman/man possessed by no one; end result; FREEDOM ABSOLUTE....so why is it that if this sign is primarily about freedom, and free-will, why is it represented by bindings, and hinderances such as 'earthly service'? and LOWLINESS?! At one point she descended from heaven, and brought the scales of judgement; she is innovation, she was the first step in the beginning to a whole new land, and oprutunity in relation to humanity; she is SUPPOSED to be 'purity of thought'(Air) not just body(Earth). So many things that I find contradictory, and arbitrary about this sign; it feels, well, WRONG somehow....As a Virgo, I have to get to the bottom of it, and solve it. I mean, is it not apart of the Virginal temperment to seek 'perfection', which is PURELY idealistic? Perfection, the mere thought of it is simply at odds with the physical realm....she basically sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the other 'more earthy' signs.....so much 'weirdness' in this sign....anyone able to deliberate or opt an opinion?

Even as a Virgo, you possess the 'choice' the free will to serve IF that is what you want...but to be a servant is to be IN FACT, PHYSICALLY POSSESSED BY ANOTHER, which is a contridiction placed on Virgo through the ages; because as a Virgin, you are to be possessed by no one, you weild the FREEDOM to do by your own choices, not to simply submise under a foolish construct that you were molded to be as; that is why I BELIEVE that the Virgos are called the 'spinsters' and the 'eternal loners' of the zodiac....perhaps this fact is why Virgs can relate so emphatically with Aquarius, and Sagittarius....we possess the same freedom-loving spirit, and idealism that acompanies these fellow members of the zodiac; Virgo is dern confusing....I know what I want, and as a Virgo, it is freedom to discover, and fly on my own.

She, Virgo was a goddess, yet through the ages her position was considerably, and UNJUSTLY knocked down...why? She possess the wings which could 'poetically, and symbolically' represent the 'freedom loving, the intellectual, and the idealistic/otherworldly pursuit of perfection'....I think EVERY VIRGO WANTS TO FLY...

You don't have to be simply EARTHY to be practical, and dicerning!!; that could possibly be one of virgos gifts unto other wind signs, she COULD BE the cardinal ruler of the wind signs; SHE WAS A GODDESS!!; so if this minor detail is the ONLY thing that can arguably stand in Virgos way to ascension/transformation and healing,

....then that just isn't BIG ENOUGH now is it?

Anyone in a position of strength knows that lifting those beneath them gives them the inspiration to continue, or any strength/power however percieved is nothing without using it to help others.

I just wish people wouldn't put this 'possibility' out of their minds....people seem so threatened with innovation and change...why? If you were offered perfection, or the enlightened road, why would you decline?...other than the fact that it's your choice, but if you had the chance to change things and make them better for everyone, simply by starting with in yourself, and being the virginial 'inner light' why not?

Virguy62, I agree with you completely, it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to exist with power and use it to selfish/improper means; As Virgos this is what we want, but in a BROADER SENSE, it is to the beneficit to humanity in care and consideration; from our hearts, minds and souls that only shine with the radiance and purity of light, do we give out of our choice, not our compusions; but if we can rise ourselves, and attain the strength why should we as the Virgins/Goddess shine this benovolence down on the lot of humanity? We care...ya know?

I think that Virgo is more, or less the 'eternal child' of the zodiac; I mean upon first glance you'd think a virgo to be naive, and unjaded becuase of the nature of the sign only to figure out we've either, 'been there or done it'..I guess we Virgos are full of surprises eh?

We aren't simply brought here to 'analyze, and typify, or classify' we are here to bring civility, and fair mindedness to humanity; we are here to enlighten, and bring hope through our ideal of perfection..... if virg's stop fearing the dark, and believe in their light.....imagine WHAT ELSE COULD BE POSSIBLE?.....

We bring care in through the logic that we have; our minds are as powerful as they are becuase we have HUGE JOBS TO DO; we take the abstractions of life and thought and are capable of turning them into reality, and ascessible thought and understanding to relate to everyone; what a gift....it makes us so able to relate to all walks/forms of life if we work at our best; but isn't that just LIKE A VIRGO? my guy has to analyze everything. But you know what? he really is generous to a fault. So many times I have to let him know I can either do it myself, and like to try things. But he always has a suggestion as to how to do it better! He's so funny but I know he is only looking out for me. He likes routine but he likes to do a million things. I'll never get it.

There in lyes a contridiction.....I dunno, I'm a Virgo (with Capricorn rising) that HAAAAAAAAAAAATES ROUTINE!! The very utterance of the word makes me wanna blow chunks; ROUTINE ROBS THE MAGIC FROM LIFE...with the routine bit, I guess if a person just has a 'routine' or 'predictible' childhood they'll be that way; only speculation though; usually we behave out of sub-conscious or unconscious motives; if he was raised all his life through this he will akin to it becuase it is 'basically what he knows'.....that part of me, ISN'T virgoan....I haven't a need to analyze anything; things JUST ARE!! But what if we could make it look a little better, or do something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!....the creative process just livens me up I guess!! Do I sound insane? Oh well!! lol!!.

I myself would just rather 'unstructure' and 'spontaneous' to 'routine'....such a yucky word, routine....I guess It's just becuase I like to explore, and am very adventurous and prefer to live life freely meeting new things, and people; I was never afraid of the unknown, and if I did become frightened, I'd usually reason myself into believing there to be no need...

My guy has his routines. He wakes up every day the same time. Shows up for work the same time. Eats the same time. And has his days structured much better then I do!

Thank you, I've been told my WHOLE LIFE THRU that I have an 'old soul'....somtimes I think that lack of age is made up for with my souls age, and this innate wisdom I have...but I am thankful that you say that; honestly thank you...I just find it well, 'odd'...existentialism is a 'philosohical concept'.....so being my rising sign in earth and my sun, why is it that this is so easy for me to comprehend? I never had poblems with the abstract, or reasoning/conceptualizing it......I believe that yes, I have a higher purpose, and thru VIRGO I can express the full extent of my destiny.

I think Virgo, makes me this understanding to existentialism, and abstractions....thru she am I able to realize I exist with purpose, and uniquely to live freely, and truthfully, and to choose my own destiny becuase through her discernment, and idealism is high; we all exist with a strong purpose and aren't living, if we contiuoulsy feel the need to structure ourselves; we all must acept structure in chaos ,and chaos in structure....

Personally, I don't like the idea of having any form of restriction or limitation; more words that I feel should be eliminated from language; these things get in our way, AND DISTORT THE TRUTH, and don't let us see the propensity and expansion we are capable of...these things aren't what virgo is about; she is about truthfully rising above the limitations (if only one's own) to gain ascendance, enlightenment, and understanding; this is why we as Virgins must have an understanding, and a need to have these perfectionist tendancies of that which goes on around us; all things are possibilites and avenues for chances and experiences to allow us to take flight; that is why I analyze; 'will this possibility take me higher than before?' 'will I learn more?' 'will my limitations melt away allowing larger growth for not only myself but for humanity?' I consider, and question so many things; I seek enlightenment, and growth, PERFECTION IS ONE SMALL STEP IN THE VIRGOAN LARGER PICTURE....

Thanks Virguy62; I'll do well to remember that; must stay focused on the ground as well!! However, I must acknowledge my dream, while staying realistic; this will help me to achieve it in REALITY, and fufill it; no sign alone can dictate my own inner light...Virgo's Light...the light of growth, knowledge, and healing; I do hope I've inspired you all; although I may be young, I'd like to think I touched some souls today; that makes me feel good.

The thing that gets me angry very fast is unfairness in a situation. Which makes me stand for the underdgo all the time. I tend to be a bitter adversary for the aggressor.

That applies for me as well Virguy; we all should be ALOT more accepting to people, and fairplay; this is what the Virgo in US ALL STRIVES FOR; the opruntunity to gain the power of the open-mind.... we are born of many colors,traits,feelings; and life itself is abstract; no one way IN REALITY to determine what IS OR IS NOT; what SHOULD BE OR SHOULD NOT....fact is, we exist in whatever imperfection we have; the main idea however is to overcome it to rise above 'the earth' and be within the heavens; through what knowledge we gain, here on earth came from the heavens as it was preordained; meaning ultimateley, Virgo, could be the symbol of life, death, acendance, knowledge, enlightenment in humanity, fair-play, and the inner light that exists within us all; she is the cultivation of the human soul so it may be expressed CLEARLY, PURELY, ACCURATELY, AND IN FAIRNESS.

Earth seems to be the most 'fluid' concept if it is in relation to daily life/reality; I mean things in life happen fast. On minute your building an empire, or your friend of 20 or more years is here, then it all melts away....I think earth signs should be the LEAST MATERIALISTIC, and the MOST EXPERIENCE CRAVING. We are realistic enough to know that what is real, isn't always meant to stay....so why is it that we are called materialistic, and petty? If these deep reasonings in life can be accepted by us, we are the leaders....the inspirers of the zodiac....yeah, us.

Death does not faze me in the least. Life is a voyage. I have faced both with logic and understanding and have made my peace.

But for those who live in abject fear or subjection to the whim of another....makes my blood boil!

I hate that any person would live in shackles, whether of the workplace, the mind, or the body.

The spirit of man needs to be free at all costs, and to those who deem otherwise, let the punishment fit the crime.

Guys, you know, I was going to write something earlier before my first post about "sticking up for the underdog" as I've noticed that a lot of Virgos with a mature mindset have a tendency to do this, not unlike a Pisces. *ducks head from thrown objects* 🙂

The way I see it, both signs have this inherent need to help out humanity in any way we can. If we are not fulfilling our "higher purpose" in life then we are both left hollow, am I wrong? I like you kids a lot. 🙂

I ahve to agree. My ex Pisces had a heart for the little guy, or mostly societies 'undesirables", no matter what their condition. Though I admired this in her, and never discouraged her, she tended to help people who inevitably would bite her down the line, whereas I tend to evaluate the situation more in depth and help on a basis of how these people also help themselves or not.

I would refuse to toss a dollar to someone if I know they will buy booze and not food with it for example. The Pisces will give them the dollar and feel that if booze helps them through their day, then more power to them! 🙂

Or no backbone. J/k. You're right, we do have a tendency to keep on giving even after we've been taken advantage of so very many times by strangers and even family members and friends. What comes naturally to Virgos, as far as setting boundaries are concerned, takes some Pisceans a lifetime to learn. It wasn't up until a few years ago that I realized that it's quite OK to just say "no" to people regardless of who it is.

yeah...hey guys I've been thinkin' again...(uh-oh right?! lol!!) I think Virgo is the first step in zodiac placement that is responsible for the cultivation of the soul, not the everyday grind; I mean, how practical or real is it to be a virgin? We are all born with cross to bear and sin to mind; no one is born pure, so the idea of being 'pure' or 'virginal' is abstract, and rather vague; but a Virgo has a pure soul, that almost can't understand the deep, dark, depths to the selfish unconsious; I think this is why we repel scorpio; we are opposites in a sense; I think we are actually quite 'alien' to the 'worldly' we understand it, but don't really get too wrapped up in the physical aspect of things; I know too well, and have always known that the physical will melt away.... we want to understand in relation to the whole of humanity I think; we can see the good, and bad in people and to do this is to rely on more than just fact, or logic; it's sorta a type of unspoken or intuitive feeling; I see into the soul; I want the deeper answer; what lies beneath? What do you bring to the world? I think it is youthful idealism, but I hope that I can change this world somehow....I believe we, Virgos, are the 'inner light' of the soul; the first 'cardinal' step in understanding the human drive, and feeling on more than just a practical, physical level....

Alright guys, I've been working/mulling over this theory: I read somewhere that Libra is cardinal, and the cardinal element of the sign, is what lays the general disposition for the other signs to follow, (professing that wind signs are all about impression, and communication) So, theoretically, Libra in, my book if TRUTHFULLY RULED BY SATURN(exalted saturn and newly ruled by mercury, in my theory) it would make for a better fit. A man is more inclined to stubborness, and pride in his vision, rather than sacrificing his thoughts, or feelings in order to avoid any 'ruffled feathers'Diplomacy seems more 'feminine' in quality to me, because a woman is 'suposedly' 'archetypically' responsible for adaptation, and submission of both will/feeling in response to people....last I checked, libra does all these things; A virgo, holds to her/his beliefs, but could in fact influence the wind signs, more so EFFECTIVELY than libra, as Virgos, don't particually akin to materialism, because of the level-headed calm thinking that virgo is usually predesposed to. Libra, changes the whole priciple of what it means to be air, and virgo could fix this more effectively; she could be ruled by Vulcan, or Uranus, because now, Aquarius is the masculine ruler of saturn, and Libra, the feminine.

I think it is after the chaos/creation/'i need to find myself process' of Leo, that virgo can now shed some 'inner light' with people, and through her ideals that she is able to take flight; her ideals are becomming the lifting, or G-Force for action, and drive; the ideal of gaining the intellect to 'reform', and 'lead' the planet with that dream in mind really can charge her up; I don't believe virgo likes being refered to a servant, because of the mere fact that Virgo is about the possesion of the self, not THE SACRIFICE OF THE SELF, COULD THAT BE WHY THAT PISCES, AND VIRGO ARE OPPOSITIONAL SIGNS, ONE POSSESS, THE OTHER SACRIFICES, OR GIVES THE SELF UP? and the expansion of the mind and through virgo it's expression, and boundlessness; 'I know who I am! I can be jealous or overprotective; but ONLY when it calls for it, like if you don't know you're in a fix; nine outta ten, I'm just really airy, and let you have your space; I tend to 'hi, and bye' alot of people in my life and don't get to personal, when were talking intimate untill I've reasoned it out.

well people like me becuase I take firm stands on my beliefs even if it means a fight...I'd like to avoid them, but like my freedom-loving nature, and my open-minded ways always get people attracted to me...I am very detached and if people like what they see, then kudos for them; if not, I just fly by, and on to the next big thing in life. I've been told I have the wisdom of an old man, but the jovial character of a child. I don't think I'm down to earth, and am pretty abstract, and idealistic...I inspire people to act, and unite.
